5.0 out of 5 stars This One Will Surprise You
I was so happy to see this came out on DVD, finally. This is a longtime favorite movie of mine. I love to share it with friends who have never seen it; they invariably enjoy it as much if not more than me. Believe it or not, it's a great "date movie" to cuddle up with....there are enough plot twists to make the story, at one time or another, enjoyable for just about...

2.0 out of 5 stars Not good, not bad
If you like early Mark Harmon, then it is worth the time. Otherwise, it is a made for TV style situation comedy. There are some embarrassing moments and a heart-warming ending.

This movie is great fun....enjoy!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Getting!, October 28, 2000

One of my favorite movies. The plot is simple and predictable. The lines are sometimes cheesy but overall, the movie is very entertaining. Love the soundtrack too.

Synopsis: "Taylor Worth (Mark Harmon) is a local weatherman in Philadelphia who loves two things: gambling and women. Ned (Mark Blum), his psychiatrist friend, believes that Taylor's behavior is an excuse from establishing permanent relationships. To prove his theory to be correct, he made a bet with Taylor. The bet: Taylor is to be engage to three women in two months. The stakes: A fishing cabin for a Picasso. The catch: Ned will pick the three women and the engagement has to be videotaped."

"What happens next is wild rollercoaster ride as Taylor plots, schemes, strategizes and executes plan after plan to beat his friend."

What strikes me about the story is how Mark Harmon played his character. He used more finesse rather than the egotistical "God's gift to women" attitude. He is no Cassanova but somehow irresistible. I couldn't help but cheering for him even though the bet was morally wrong. The supporting cast is excellent.

If you like a light-heart sexual comedy movie, then this is for you.

...with two of my favorite actors: Mark Harmon and the lovely Madeline Stowe.

I caught this on cable back in the early 90's. I had a big crush on Madeline Stowe, since seeing her in "Revenge". So I decided to check this out...and I was not disappointed.

Definitely not a general classic, but I love this film. With less-capable and less-likeable actors, this film would (...). This is one of those rare cases where the actors elevate the material.

This is one of those rainy-day, "got-nothing-else-to-do" movies.
It's definitely worth a look, and the Amazon price is definitely right. Give it a shot. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mark Harmon is GREAT!!, November 24, 2008
This review is from: Worth Winning (DVD)
This is a very funny movie with one of todays Greats..Mark Harmon! It is also my favorite Madeleine Stowe flick next to "Last of the Mohicians". Mark portrays a player, he has to propose to 3 girls at the same time and gets caught. The best thing about this flick is that Mark Harmon talks directly at the camera (like "Ferris Beuler" did).It is a situational comedy that really gets the job done. The girls get together and plot their revenge, and boy they do get him good!!

This is an old school comedy and it is not very well known, but it is a real cute and funny movie, with some wonderful actors doing a great job, a great storyline, and for all the guys some really pretty girls! ;) It is a really great romantic comedy that I highly recomend to anyone who likes this genre!! Out of 5 stars I give it 4 and 1/2.

This movie is one of my all-time favorites. The story plot is simple and predictable. Some of the lines may be cheesy. But overall, it is very funny and entertaining.

Synopsis: "Taylor Worth (Mark Harmon) is a local weatherman in Philadelphia who loves two things: gambling and women. To prove that his theory is correct, Ned challenged Taylor to a bet. The bet was for Taylor to get engage to three women in two months. The stakes: A Picasso for a fishing cabin. The catch: Ned will be picking the three women."

"What happens next is one laughter after another as Taylor plots, schemes, strategizes and executes plan after plan to try and win the bet."

What strikes me the most about this film is the way Mark Harmon portrayed his character, Taylor Worth. He avoided the egotistical "God's gift to Women" attitude. Because of this, I found myself cheering for him even though the bet was morally wrong.

Watch it and see for yourself. This is a light-heart sexual comedy that will have you laughing.
