Excellent flashlight, plenty bright and has five excellent light modes: High, Medium, and Low brightness, and then Strobe and S.O.S. This flashlight is very bright, and the multiple brightness modes allow you to dimm it down when you don't need the blinding light. This is great for general around the house use or even as an emergency flashlight. It's very bright when you need it and you can select a lower brightness when you want to conserve the battery.
Changing modes is easy - tap the power button lightly. It will cycle through the modes - full bright, medium, and low brightness, strobe, and S.O.S flash. To switch the mode the light starts up in, tap the button until the desired mode is running, then press and hold the power switch for 5 - 6 seconds. The light will remember which mode it was in.

I'm in law enforcement and I use my flashlight everyday. They're good for outside and inside. Easy to charge and small enough to maneuver. This is a great buy........ get one!!!!

This thing puts out a ton of light- I did get it to work once. The strobe is awesome, and the varying levels of brightness are nice.

Shortly after, it stopped working. It would work if I shook it a little, but the switch didn't work the same. Then it stopped working entirely, so I opened it up and pulled the battery out. Along with the battery came a very compressed, hot spring. Looks like the spring/battery connection for the bulb assembly and it was HOT.

Then I inserted the battery into the plugged in charger - POOF! Immediate smoke. Pulled the charger off the wall let it cool. Took the batteries out and and things had melted a bit.

Hopefully the Amazon return process works well. I think if you get one that works well, it could be a great little light.

i use this as a hand light on my deployment here in afghanistan, the battery life is pretty good for such a high output, but youll want to swap out the battery every day or two for optimum performance.
clip broke off after a week, but still feels pretty solid. all in all i would recommend this light plus a few extra rechargeable batteries :)

oh and its so bright that when i try to read something with the light on at its high setting, or look at my watch with it, its too blinding to read, so yeah, definitely bright enough!

I've had this light for about 6 months now, and I have to say, it is a great light

I carry it with me every day as a little compact flashlight for when I don't have one of my good lights with me, and this thing really does come in handy. Other people pull out their little pen lights on their keychain and I'm like "Please, I got this." And whip out this thing, and blow their minds.

It is SUPER bright. At full power it can light up a small yard. The thing I find about it though is it doesn't reach too far because of the reletively small size of their reflector. It makes up for it with the punch it packs.

For me, that kind of long reach isn't nessessary for what I use it for, so thats fine.

Also, I find that the battery lasts suprisingly long if you use it in the role I do as a backup. In the 6 months I've had this light, I've only had to charge the battery one time.

That being said, it doesn't do too well with endurance use, just turning it on and keeping it on for extended amounts of time. I typically only need it for a few minutes at a time, which in that role it works like a champ, but I tried just using it for an hour straight and I noticed after about 45 minute the thing had dimmed to lower than the low setting, while set to high.

Speaking of which, having the various setting is kind of a fun and useful. Need a bright light to find your way home in the dark? Set to full power. Power go out and you need a light to make sure you don't trip over your dog? Low power. In a dance emergency and need an impromptu rave? Boom, this light got you, strobe mode! A feature you didn't even know you need, because you know how often dance emergencies arise in your life.

The construction is rock solid.

I don't know how else to put it. It is a darned bright light, and for what you pay it's a good value. But it is cheaply made, the battery quality is suspect, (they drain mighty fast), the threading on tailcap and lens is sketchy, and it rattles. The charger is so cheap it's scary. Please be sure that your polarity is correct, because the charger is clearly marked "forbids to invert" and i suspect that is good advice.

Also since i've purchased two of these now i can confirm that they aren't all the same. The second one i bought has a larger collar on it, (which is a happy thing for me because it fits my bicycle bracket better), it's less rattly and it is *slightly* brighter. But the overall impression of build quality and function is about the same.

All of which is to say, i've had no troubles in the month i've owned my first one, but i will not be surprised when i do, In the meanwhile it does a heck of a job lighting up the night.

EDIT: Well that didn't take very long. I think i've had this last one for three weeks, and the threads on the tail cap decided to seize up requiring a pair of channel locks to get it off. I did it as gently as one can with channel locks, but i seem to have damaged the switch. Now it is confused and will wink on and off occasionally, or turn on in a random mode.

The takeaway, i reckon, is that your value for the money may vary depending on your luck.
