I recently purchased this tank. Works just like a tank, no issues.
I was confused on outlet connections when ordering and wished I had purchased this tank with different outlets.

This model comes with the old female reverse thread outlet known as a POL fitting. You will need to purchase an adapter to connect it to the new male thread commonly seen on grills. Not a biggie just something to add to the cost.

The more important issue is about filling the tank. I have found there are two pricing models for propane. One is for the grill bottles which are filled by weight. The filling hose connects to the POL fitting. This seems to be the most expensive way to purchase.

A smarter way is to purchase a tank with a Multi-Valve. This includes both the POL fitting and a "bulk" fill fitting. The bulk fitting allows the tank to be filled by delivery truck and you pay by gallon.

This 100# tank holds about 24 gallons of liquid propane and has an internal float valve that shuts off filling at 90% leaving 10% to provide vapor pressure. This is pretty standard.

My experience in filling it during this expensive 2013/2014 heating season was $100 flat fee filling via the POL fitting. (I had to transport the tank to/from the propane company. It holds 100 pounds by weight of liquid gas.) If I had purchased the tank with a multi-valve, I could have had propane for $3.50/gal ($84) using truck delivery, Both saving my back and wallet.

Something to consider when purchasing.

I received this tank, it looks to be of great construction/ quality, unfortunately FedEx once again has delivered a large item in terrible condition. It would be nice if they would at least ship this full covered in cardboard to avoid scratches along the route. Mine arrived with a large ding along the top and many scratches on the sides.

Be aware this has a 10% valve, not a OPD valve, but is still DOT approved for transport, so no worries about getting it filled.

Overall good tank, but Amazon needs to step up their protection for large items. Just because it's big and heavy doesn't mean it is bombproof!

The tank arrived without any logo on it, just a plain tank.
The tank was beat up during delivery. It is shipped with a thin piece of cardboard covering just one third, and some bubble wrap and brown paper on the collar, thats it (see my picture).

I'll need to touch up the paint to prevent rust.

I chose next day delivery to minimize the time in transit, but it still arrived beat up. The tank wall doesn't seem very heavy duty, I'm sure its the bare legal minimum.

We recently installed the tank to provide propane for a heating unit in our Cabin. So far it is working flawlessly and appears to be robust and well made. The purchasing experience went well also.

The tank arrived within a few days of placing the order with the standard shipping. After inspection of the tank the top where the valve is located is a metal collar. That collar was bent plus scratches on the tank, no doubt due to shipping. The empty tank weight is approximately 68 lbs. I can understand it must be somewhat difficult to handle, heavy and awkward, etc. I would have given 5 stars if it were packaged better. I can't say much about the tank performance but it appears that it should be satisfactory...

This is the cats Meow For The Price and Quality.

The only thing I had to Configure was all the correct Fitting to adapt it to My Travel Trailer, But when at an RV shop and all the fitting they have we just built what was required to make it fit. to the New Style fitting now days . This comes with the old school inside left hand internal fitting. And the hose was just way to short. That I bought from Amazon with all the wrong fittings but was able to use it for parts.
So with all the parts and Correct TAPE and it HAS TO BE the TEFLON TAPE for GAS FITTINGS ( YELLOW ) or it will leak. NOT ( WHITE TAPE ) and it says Made for GAS fittings. The white Teflon tape will leak and will not work, PERIOD so be very careful and always leak test every fitting with a gas leak monitor like I have for use in Boats or if you do not make sure to use the Leak test slime not just Soapy water, most leaks are very slow and the soppy water can not pick it up.

If you your Not up to speed on doing this HAVE a Certified Professional do it for you.

Propane sinks and will gather and just ruin your day or life. Not like NATURAL gas that rises.

It is not too terribly heavy, and it did not come in any type of packaging. It was not scratched up, and will not need any touch-up paint as others have mentioned. One person -can- lift it and move it around when it is empty. When full, it can be "rolled" into position if needed, or two people can carry it a short distance. It does not have the new style (barbeque grill) fitting, but has the standard left-hand thread fitting - which is what I wanted.

You can get this tank or similar tanks for around $130 plus tax at your local supplier in most areas from what I've found. I work in the oil field and own a few of these tanks. However first thing you need is to get a new connector fitting to allow this tank to use in most situations. You'll need the "GrillPro 11051 Universal Fit Propane Tank Adaptor" here on Amazon. I paid $40.00 for mine at a RV place and its less than half of that here on Amazon.

The tank works find, i found in shipping it gets a little banged up and sometimes the valve stem gets a little bent but it still works fine.

3 stars because of it not having the valve that is most commonly used on it.

Also right now the price is $200, it seems people are raising the price on this item during the colder days to make extra money but any other time of the year its only $130 here on amazon and most places around town...
