What Love?,
This review is from: A Worthy Love (Urban Soul) (Mass Market Paperback)
Asia Collins-Vincent is probably the best wife any man could ask for, however, someone forgot to tell her husband, Terrell. One afternoon, after a very intimate moment, Terrell announces to Asia he is done with their marriage and walks out on her and their son. While Asia waits for him to come to his senses things go from bad to worse and life, as she knows it, spirals out of her reach. In Rena A. Finney's A Worthy Love, I read about a woman who lost more than just her mind on the day her husband left her. Like a phoenix she rose out of the ashes only to recover her life.During the course of her healing, Asia went on a much needed vacation/family reunion cruise with her two best friends, Lisa and Crissy. It was on this same cruise Raymond Sykes, a friend from their younger years resurfaced, bringing with him some emotions Asia thought were long buried once she left high school. The timing could not have been worse for Raymond to walk back into Asia's life. He has an ex-wife who does not quite understand the meaning of being divorced. Now that he is, what should Asia do about her vow of never letting love get close to her fragile heart ever again? Ms. Finney began this story with a big bang that pulled me right in. However, as the story progressed some of the intensity disappeared little by little. I kept reading because I liked the feistiness of Lisa and Crissy, when it came to taking up for Asia. I also wanted to see if poor Asia would ever find happiness in all aspects of her life. I recommend A Worthy Love to readers who do not mind a slow-paced romance.
