Book Description

In this sequel to the New York Times Best Seller Accidentally On Purpose, Kyle Sterling must live with his devastating actions that caused him to lose the love of his life. Conditioned by a life of tribulation starting from when he was a small child, Kyle loses all hope that he can ever deserve happiness again.

Lily's heart was broken first by a tragic loss and then by the two people she cared about most in the world. After tragedy strikes again, Lily's entire world is shaken and begins to crumble piece by piece. Lily hides her heartache and secrets behind a wall of colorful hair, piercings, tattoos and a style and attitude that is all her own.

When Lily is forced to take a position at Sterling Corporation working closely with Kyle, the pair quickly clash. Kyle's dick-like behavior is at an ultimate high, but Lily challenges him at every turn. Despite his personal objections regarding Lily, her background, and her appearance, Kyle is unable to deny the building chemistry between him and the little irritating "barmaid."

Despite his dick-like disposition and violent past, Lily fights to prove to Kyle that he is worthy – of being loved, and worthy of redemption, but Kyle is afraid of repeating history and he can’t let go of his past…

...And maybe a very important someone from his past isn’t ready to let go yet either...

4.0 out of 5 stars sort of torn July 28, 2013
By dp
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I didn't even know there was a sequel coming out until I saw on a bloggers list of new releases but glad there was!

I am sort of torn because, even in AOP, I sort of loved Kyle and was hoping that he and Emmy would end up together. I know Luke is a great guy and he and Emmy are good together and Lucas is his. But in AOP when he said he would raise her baby even if it wasn't his, that gave a hint of the type of man he was inside.

I couldn't get past wanting Kyle to be with Emmy and having that hope this entire book. I also wasn't crazy about Lily falling for Kyle so quickly with her knowing it was a guy her boss had a relationship with and also with her knowing how it ended with Kyle and Emmy. ***spoiler**** You could also see the pregnancy coming since they NEVER mentioned any type of birth control and all they seemed to do is have sex (which seemed a bit much).

I know Kyle and Lily and Emmy and Luke are who they should be with and are better with their partners, but I still can't get past the idea of Kyle and Emmy being together. I know I may be one of the only people who think that way, but I had my fingers crossed anyway and I don't even know why! Maybe it is the love for the bad boy and a bad boy actually being a good guy and wishing he could have been that guy for Emmy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ok Kyle... I forgive you! July 22, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Anyone who reads my reviews KNOWS how much I hate(d) Kyle Sterling. That man aggravated every fiber of my being in Accidentally On Purpose. I hate him so much, I didn't even want him to have his own story. He's TRASH. AND TRASH doesn't deserve to have their story told.
So I'm also a woman, and women are allowed to change their mind.
*Clears throat*
I love Kyle now.
You really shouldn't judge someone until you know their story. Poor Kyle's story is a rough one. My heart ached for him throughout the entire book.

And I just love Lily and her smart mouth! I found myself laughing out loud repeatedly while reading. There are so much banter being thrown around in this book and it thoroughly entertained me.

We get to see some of our favorites from AOP, and get some seriously shocking situations. At first I was pissed off at some of these surprises. But... It's life, it's real. and just like in AOP, sometimes good people do wrong.
Don't get scared, it all makes for entertaining reads...

And in true L.D. Davis fashion.... BIG SURPRISES!!!

Please pick up this book! You won't regret it!

5 Provocative, Sensational Sars!
The Review:
Before going into Worthy of Redemption, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the mains after the events of book one, Accidentally On Purpose. I was conflicted and torn in the first half of AOP as we are taken on an emotional roller coaster ride with Emmy, Luke and Kyle, eventually getting our happy ending after a passionate yet disastrous journey. Kyle does some unforgivable things while on that journey and I truly thought there was no redemption for one so dark. But L.D. Davis proves she is a master with the written word as she takes this flawed, dark character and brings him into the light.

Soon I was immersed in this story, in these characters and started to understand, comprehend and even like Kyle a little more. Before long, I was totally smitten with him all over again. I watched his affection for Lily grow and his caring, if somewhat possessive nature, take root and bloom.

This read was exciting, thrilling, sexy and consuming! Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down!

Kyle Sterling is trying to learn from his mistakes but he's stuck in a vicious, self-loathing cycle that stems from the pain he inflicted on Emmy but also from his past which we soon discover is steeped in abuse and neglect.

He can't let the the mistakes he made with Emmy go as it haunts him and sends him into incoherent nightmares. He's struggling to stay clean from the drugs he uses as a coping shield from his troubled past and the pressures of his present.

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic series loved the book!!! July 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I enjoyed the second book of series so much. I love Kyle and so Luke as well but specially Kyle. It was hard for me to see Lilly with Kyle, I still wanted him to be with Emmy but then Luke was so good to her again. I felt so torn in two and cried several places so much in the book.

You will love the series. Money very well spent The author is an excellent author and I cant wait to read more of her books.

2.0 out of 5 stars Author should have stopped after the first book! November 14, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I just couldn't get myself into this story. I couldn't relate to Lily and I really didn't enjoy their story at all.

-spoiler alert-

I'm sorry but the first kiss scene was absolute bullsh*t to me. So you're going to tell me that while Emmy is all freshly beaten, pregnant, and alone in France all Kyle could think about was kissing a girl with a tongue ring? Seriously? Granted he didn't know where she was but still! You just beat the crap out of the woman you love while she was 5 months pregnant and you're already thinking sexually about another woman? The author should have waited before adding anything sexual into the mix. I was so bored with their story I started just searching for scenes with Emmy's name on my kindle and skimming through everything else.

I don't give a sh**t about Kyle Sterling I hated him the moment the Miami incident took place. There is nothing the author could possible do to make me think he had redeemed himself. I would have been able to finish the book if it weren't for his pig ass jumping right into bed with someone else while Emmy was suffering. And I hated Lily. You stupid idiot. She wasn't relatable at all and her ability to jump into bed with a man she knew had done something so revolting and with someone who was her boss and FRIEND. Yuck!

Now about the Emmy chapter in the book. My original response to the author adding this in was:

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I actually had tears in my eyes. I hated the fact that Luke did (even almost) to her, it ruined their story for me. I know he didn't go through with it but still...he was tainted in my eyes. The worst part was that they were just newly married so what the hell was his excuse?
