The woman in the story believed in herself and the power of rising and moving forward even in the face of difficulties. This is an inspiration to young adults looking forward to achieving a long lasting relationship. This book is about family ties, love, and life experiences that may seem impossible to many. Quite a unique story. I couldn't stop until I finished the book.

This book is a must read for all seeking success in marriage and in life. It takes the reader on a fascinating journey from one continent to another, through life's challenges and triumphs, blessings and sorrows, to a place of peace, contentment and hope. It demonstrates the struggle to give up the life one planned in order to accept and enjoy reality as it unfolds. It shows that no matter how different we think we are, we all need to love and to be loved in return, to be heard, to be understood, to be significant in someone's life. It is a testimony to the power of one's heart. It shows how much can be accomplished through compassion, joy, faith, comfort, patience, kindness, forgiveness, vulnerability, honesty, courage and LOVE. It will certainly inspire and encourage its readers to live their best lives. I highly recommend it!

I finished reading the book, and there I was scrolling down to see if there was more; more of this inspiring story of life. I can categorically say the timing of this book was just right for me and my friends, who I recommended it to. There is indeed power in true love. The search for love can take you through many twist and turns, but through it all I find that love is the ultimate truth; that love holds no grudge, no hate, no malice etc. So my thanks to the writer for affirming once again that there is indeed true love. I will take what I learned from this book and add it to what I know and make the most of it. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to speak the love language, anyone in love looking to strengthen their love or someone who never knew what love meant; grab a copy and be blessed because I was.

It is true what they say that, "Big things come in small packages. This book is purely a pleasure to read. Learning about the African culture was enlightening and stimulating. The author truly had me in tears laughing about various situations during the marriage. No matter what county a man is from, men are all the same. The point of the book is that the author displayed compassion, patience, devotion and nothing but pure love. Any woman waiting eight years to marry her man truly is in it to win it but in Chinyere's case keeping it. I am almost finished and I cannot wait to discover how these two lovers endure the test of time. My opinion this book is recommended for a mature audience because we too have been there and done that. I cannot wait the sequel.

My sincere best wishes to Chinyere Nwoke

There is a good measure of love in this book that jumps out of the pages and touches the heart of the reader. It really touched mine. It makes you want to start all over in your own love life. If I had read this book as a young lady -- from teenage years to thirty -- I would have done things differently in my relationship. However, it is never too late for anybody to love again. Now I know what to do. This book has encouraged me enough to begin anew to give and receive lots of love. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially women in relationships, love affair, marriage, or anyone planning to be intimately involved with another individual. This book will inspire women to take ownership of their love life.

“Would You Love Me If...?” by Chinyere Nwoke is a woman's journal through courtship leading up to marriage. This book provides information throughout the years of her life and other family members’ lives.

I found the cover of the book to be misleading. There were many family pictures in this book and as a reader I would prefer to use my imagination instead of pictures. The author was all over the place without getting to the main plot of this journal. It simply did not work for me. I didn't find any ‘wow’ moments. I've read other books written in this format but this book didn't catch my attention at all.

I know this is a gorgeous book from the outside--will look great as a decor on a coffee table, a living room or office, will make a perfect gift-but it is even more beautiful on the inside. Each titled chapter begins with an African mask placed straight or sideways. There are beautiful photos to further explain the incredible and compelling story in this book. For example, when the author describe the imaginable things that went wrong during the wedding, the pictures were succinctly and strategically located on the same page so the reader need not flip back and forth the pages to connect with the story.

I read this novel a while back and i honestly enjoyed reading it. It's a personal story about the author, it talks about her immediate family, her courtship, marriage and relocation to the US.It's quite interesting, being an immigrant myself, i understood what the author and her husband must have been through and appreciate her courage in putting out her story. Unlike the other review stated, i liked the family pictures in the book, i'm more visual, so i love pictures. I enjoyed this book so much that i wanted more.
