Before getting this CD, I hadn't heard any new material by Bobby Vee in nearly thirty-five years. This new set turned out to be very enjoyable and contemporary-sounding. I particularly enjoyed the two (yes...2 !) covers of great DEL SHANNON tunes..."That's the Way Love Is," and "Cry Myself To Sleep." As an unexpected bonus, I had the pleasure of seeing Bobby Vee headline an oldies show, in Baltimore, last week (11-20-03). It was my first time seeing him "live" and he did not disappoint. He and his sons did almost all of his biggest hits, as well as several of his less well-known tunes, such as "Walkin' With My Angel", "How Many Tears ?" and "Stayin' In". By all means, check out Bobby's newest CD, and go see him "live" should you get the chance !

The title song is worth the price of the CD! It's a great song and I wish it would have come along earlier in his career. Whatever Happened to Peggy Sue; How to Make a Farewell; That's the Way Love Is; Just Today; Storybook Ending and a slowed-down version of The Night Has A Thousand Eyes are but a few of the excellent tracks on this surprising CD!
