I'm biased, having taken a class from this author, but I have used this since with several different groups, and it is a tremendous tool for healing. He goes into terrific detail on all kinds of trauma and suffering, and even if you have no serious issues, you will understand those who do much better, as well as having a solid foundation for praying and working with others. I recommend this book with no reservations - it will challenge and bless you if you stick with it.

Dug into my soul,

This book surprised me with the wisdom and gentleness of the author, Stephen Seamands. He said things that could have very well been said by someone who knew me well enough...but no one has known me and my history that well. I did grow up in a broken home and thought I had to depend on myself for my own protection and the obtaining of my needs. It was so refreshing to find that my responses were typical and expected given this list of events that transpired. Even the self hatred alternating with self exaltation seemed to come into balance when I understood. Very good wide spectrum - spirit, soul and body - healing can be found in this book.

I used this book as a study guide for a small group. It was so inspiring that I look forward to using it again. I have recommended this book to individuals and married couples who are struggling. The insights given are great in revealing the heart of Christ and His and Our Father's love for us. It answers the question, where is God when we are hurting...right here with us.
This is a book I will re-read and recommend, again and again. I also highly recommend David Seamands books(Stephen's father)beginning with,,"Putting Away Childish Things". I've bought dozens of copies.
