5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!
I love this CD. My purple disc got very over worked, since I played it over and over and over and over and over again. If you are new to the Christian music scene, this is the CD to start with. Is has a large variety of the best Christian groups and songs. Some of my personal favorites:

3.0 out of 5 stars Don't know how this CD got an almost perfect rating...
Well, either I'm crazy or I didn't buy the same CD as all you people, but this CD definately didn't shine enough to give it a perfect 5 stars. Gravity, by Delirious? was incredibly boring, and No One Loves Me Like You, by Jars of Clay (my fav. group), was very bland. Only a few songs stood out, like Cartoons, Speechless, Get Down, etc..., but overall this CD was...

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, August 16, 2000

I love this CD. My purple disc got very over worked, since I played it over and over and over and over and over again. If you are new to the Christian music scene, this is the CD to start with. Is has a large variety of the best Christian groups and songs. Some of my personal favorites:

PURPLE DISC (this is the sorta more "active" disc-like for teens and stuff)

4. "Consume Me" by DC Talk-this song talks about being totally committed and on fire for Jesus. "You consume me...like a burning flame running through my veins."

8. "Get Down" by Audio Adrenaline-this song is about humbling yourself. John 3:30 "He must increase, I must decrease."

9. "I Want to Know You" by Sonicflood- I have sung this at my church before, and it's one of my favorite worship songs. "I want to know you, I want to hear your voice, I want to know you more."

12. "Away From You" The O.C. Supertones- "There's no life away from You." There is no life away from Jesus, simple as that! I especially love the fact that these guys are the Orange County Supertones...since i live in Orange County. :~)

14. "The Rumor Weed Song" The W's- this song gets me dancing around my bedroom every time. It's a Veggie Tales song about how rumors are spread.

SILVER DISC (the "less active" disc...teens will like it too, though, I'm a teen, I should know...)

1. "Speechless" by Steven Curtis Chapman-When you really take the time to get into God's presence, you are speechless when you realize what He has done for you!

4. "Show You Love" by Jaci Valasquez-a song about witnessing to people by simply loving them like Jesus did, and does!

9. "Revive Us" by Anointed- a song about revival in the body of Christ!

11. "I Will Follow Christ" Clay Crosse-a great song about following Jesus "I will follow Christ, I will run the race, fighting the good fight, standing on my faith."

12. "One of These Days" FFH-I love this song! It's about how "one of these days" if you know Jesus, you will go to heaven! "One of these days, I'm gonna see the hands that took the nails for me."

15. "Cartoons" by Chris Rice-This is a very unique and FUNNY song! My best friend and her sister and I couldn't stop singing it for days, and we laughed every time we did! It's up to you to buy the CD so you can hear this song and see for yourself...

**Basically, this is a great CD! I love all the songs on it, these were just a few of my particular favorites. If you buy this CD, you will not regret it! There is something here for everyone!**

5.0 out of 5 stars Not a bad song on here!, February 10, 2000
This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
I never thought I'd get into Christian music. I had the Nichole Nordeman CD for a while, and I loved it, but I convinced myself I wouldn't be able to find any other great Christian music. Now I'm seeking, and learning about Christianity, so I decided to give the music another chance. WOW 2000 was the next album I bought - and WOW is right! There's incredible variety here, yet not a single song is a dud. Now I'm going out and buying some of the individual artists' albums!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best WOW album ever, December 9, 1999
By
This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
As with many of you, I have purchased every WOW album. There have always been about a fourth of the cuts that were just "OK". Not so with WOW2K. This one REALLY is the best Christian Contemporary music of the year. However, my favorite group, The Waiting, was conspicuously absent. If you are just starting to purchase Christian contemporary music, START WITH THIS! It will give you a good idea of some groups you might want to try more of. Great representative samples of all the best recordings. BTW, I got this for several dollars less at Wal-Mart.

5.0 out of 5 stars WoW 2000, January 3, 2000

They've done it again-WoW 2000 has continued the tradition started in 1996 with another great album, featuring 30 of today's hottest Christian artists, including the ever-popular Newsboys, along with dc Talk, Sixpence None the Richer, and Point of Grace. The message of each song is powerful, with a mix of styles, from rock to disco, sure to please any listeners ears. However serious the topic, you have to listen to Track 15 on the Silver CD, Chris Rice's "Cartoons", sure to make anyone laugh!

5.0 out of 5 stars What an awesOme and Wonderful cd! WOW!, November 16, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
I like many of the songs on this album! I have looked for these songs that were hits, but I didn't want to buy a whole bunch of CDs for just one song. This album has all of my favorites on it. The best songs (in my opinion) are: Consume Me, One of These Days, and Always and Forever. All of the songs, however, are awesome, so I recommend that you go out and buy this CD! You won't regret it!

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!, January 31, 2000
By A Customer

I stumbled upon it by "accident" and recognized a couple of songs I knew I liked so I went ahead and got it. The rest is history. I adore these CDs. I crank them on my car stereo and there's no sittin' still! I am an Alternative music fan and avoid Country music whenever possible, but I have to admit that the Third Day song is my favorite of them all!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great! Amazing! WOW!!, April 25, 2001

This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
The WOW selection of Christian CDs is amazing. They have compiled CDs full of the best of today's contemporary Christian artists, and have done it successfully. With WOW 2000, you get a little bit of everything. From my personal favorite, dc Talk, to Chris Rice, to Third Day, Jaci Velasquez, Audio Adrenaline, Jars Of Clay, Michael W. Smith, etc. This list goes on and on. There is even a song by The W's from the show VeggieTales called 'The Rumor Weed Song' which is obviously geared toward little children but is great for people of all ages. The WOW collections have amazed millions of adults, teens, and children all across America. You can not go wrong by buying these collections. The songs are very spiritual and uplifting and are great for anyone who is trying to start a Christian music collection or for someone who is adding to their collection. I highly recommend this CD. If you enjoy this one, try the other WOW Christian compilations. Buy this one right away, you will love it forever!

This was my first christian c.d. I am really glad i bought it because its such a wide variety of bands it helps you to know what bands you like. This is especially helpful if you are just starting out a christian music collection. N-E ways the songs are really good and there is one for every mood your in. Don't let the price scare you cause you get a ton of great music, and remember it is two c.d's. So be sure to consider this and at least put it on your wish list

5.0 out of 5 stars WoW!, January 2, 2000
This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
Who says Christian music has to be strictly hymns? Boasting such artists as DC Talk, Rebecca St. James, Newsboys, and even Sixpence None The Richer, this collection has everything from swing with the W's to the beautiful voice of Jennifer Knapp. In conclusion, the music on this CD is just as good as you would hear on the radio, but it has a good message behind it. WoW!

5.0 out of 5 stars WoW 2000 is a masterpiece to bring in the millenium!, October 31, 1999
This review is from: Wow 2000 (Audio CD)
Alright, I have to admit, the first time I heard this collection it seemed incredibly bland. But then as I listened to it more and more, it got better and better. In my opinion (like with all other WoW collections) the collection starts out with the fun PURPLE DISC (mainly composed of rock/pop/punk) and merges into the more lighthearted, emotional, indepth SILVER DISC. I am really impressed. Highlights are: dc Talk, Jennifer Knapp, Plumb, Burlap2Cashmere, Audio Adrenaline, Steven C. Chapman, Rebecca St. James. (sorry to say that Jars of Clay [my fav. group] isn't on that list, but their song "Nobody Loves Me Like You" just didn't do it for me. Same w/ Michael W. Smith) Anyhoo, I am a happy consumer and I suggest this collection to anyone who loves the Lord and likes great music.
