Robert Neubecker has been an illustrator for thirty years. He is currently on the staff of Slate.com. Robert has worked for nearly everything in print over the years, notably Time Magazine, Business Week, Newsweek and The New York Times. He illustrated the poster for the movie Sideways, which won the prestigious Key award for best comedy poster of 2004.
Robert's first book as an author-illustrator, Wow! City! won an ALA Notable Book award for 2005. A growing list of books have followed, including Beasty Bath, Wow! America!, Wow! School! and Courage of the Blue Boy.
Some of his books for other authors include "I Got Two Dogs", with John Lithgow, "Monsters on Machines" with Deb Lund, "My Name is Sophie Peterman" with Sarah Weeks and "Air Show!" with Treat Williams.
Robert's latest book "Wow Ocean" (Hyperion) was released in summer 2011, and the upcoming "What Little Boys are Made of" will come out in March 2012. He has recently finished "Shiver me Timbers", a fabulous pirate poetry book with Doug Florian and "Every Corner Needs a Monster" an imaginative romp with Jean Reidy. Robert is represented by Wernick & Pratt, New York.
A long time New Yorker, Robert now lives in Park City, Utah with his growing family and lots of animals, both domestic and wild.
