I agree. Who picked these songs? You use to be able to flow and meditate with the music, but the chosen songs do not fit the bill as previous WOW collections. I would give this CD away if I could but I can't even do that.

What is wrong with you people? There is nothing wrong with this cd, it is the best wow cd yet. I cannot wait to next year's version!! all the songs on here are good so all you haters step off.

This has to be the worst gospel CD that they ever put out. The song selection is of poor choice. It seems that they just threw something together at the last minute. The songs are mostly traditional gospel but even those are not as up to par as the earlier CD. It is no where near as inspirational as 1998 CD nor did it stir my soul like the 1999 CD. It seems that they are going downhill every year. Don't waste your money.

I give this a negative 5 stars and 5 thumbs down and I only have two thumbs!!!

The WOW CD's have progressively gotten worse. I do not know what possessed me to buy this mess. Disc 2 is much more tolerable than Disc 1...

I am a stong lover of Gosple music -- but I am way disapointed in this mess. From the awful song called You by The Bad Boy family to Smokie Norful(????) ye that is his name check the website. Should have left it in the store for that artist alone.

I have the Richard Smallowood Persuaded CD, Donnie McClurkins and several others....right now I am reading my receipt and determining what the refund policy is!

I think the WOW gospel series is getting progressively worse. I bought this cd a year ago and I was shocked that some of the songs on the cd, weren't even from 2002! Some of these songs were already being sung in my church in 2001. And some of the tracks were absolutely un-listenable (Unconditional, Jesus Children). It seems to me that the producers of WOW gospel are trying to captalize on the success of the previous albums, and there's nothing wrong with that. But just don't put out a bunch of junk just for the almighty dollar. In the long run, they are disappointing the vast majority of gospel lovers. I used to listen to this series to give me some idea of what albums to go out and purchase, but most of the songs on this cd were actually from the previous year, so I already had alot of it. I think the mistake they are making is releasing it to early in the year. If it's supposed to be the best gospel of 2002, how can you release it in February 2002?!?!?!?!?!?!!? I don't think I'll waste my money on WOW 2003, I'll just download it....

This does not represent the great work of 2002! For at least three years I looked forward to this CD set. Now, I'm certain that I won't purchase the 2003 CD (or any future WOW CDs) on the merits of any previous compilations. What happened?

Perhaps it's time another label emerged and pulled together a truly quality effort. While the songs are all excellent, they don't represent the artists' work in 2002. Or perhaps I have this wrong...maybe this is just a compilation of previous work that is just RELEASED in 2002.

Not at all what I expected.

This was the one place I could find this song, "You". Found the video on YouTube, but finding the single was challenging. Another fav for me. The CD was worth the price because I wanted this song, but if I could have found it elsewhere I won't have purchased "Wow Gospel 2002". So for the individual song, 5 stars; rating the CD, 3 stars.

I couldn't help but notice some rough reviews for this WOW. I got it about 5 years after release and it was on sale but I certainly didn't waste my money. It is not my favourite but I honestly could not join the `bashing'.

Truthfully, I do prefer the 2nd disc; for disc 1 however I best enjoy King of Kings by CeCe Winans. Disc 2 That's What I Believe - Donnie McClurkin (He came for deliverance, Deliverance I received ...That's What I Believe Amen!!) is one of my all-time Donnie McClurkin favourites. Also on Disc 2 The Battle is the Lord's - Yolanda Adams, Calvary - Richard Smallwood, Be Right - Keith `Wonderboy' Johnson and others. The Wow series provide a mix and usually a good sampling of the gospel offering of the previous year, sometimes the music is a bit older than that. WOW 2002 is NOT a train wreck.

Come now! The disk is just fine! I remember these songs from back in da day, and man i tear up sometimes remembering the great sound and message. Everybody's a critic....sheesh

Enjoying my cd, it was in top condition and no defects or scratches. It sound great. I recommend this seller.
