My 8 year old son bought the mini robosapien and asked me to transcribe his review. So in his words this is what he thinks of the mini-robosapien...

The mini robosapien does not have a remote control, but it is still fun to play with. It's eyes light up and it can walk. The hands and arms move by pressing buttons on the robots back. The grippers really work and can hold different things. I really like this toy and think you should try one out.

This toy is a BIG disapointment. After I put the batteries in it, I was really excited to turn it on and see what it could do, but when I turned it on, all it did was walk nonstop. I am not kidding, but i wish I was. YOU have to press and hold a button to make it pick things up and you have to move this thing up and down to make its arms move up and down. That is all it does. If I were you, I would wait until the mini robosapien v2 and the regular robosapien v2 come out. I am not sure what the mini v2 does, but I know that the regular v2 is going to be AWESOME!!!! So I would either wait til' the v2 comes out, wait til' robopet comes out, or get the regular roboraptor. If you want to see what roboraptor does, I'd go to Best Buy. They have one out of the box that you can mess around with. All this is just my opinion, but if you want to get it, I would suggest you keep the box neat so you can put it back in if you want to return it. That's what I did.

This is a cool toy/friend! Not as advanced as the normal, but still a good robot buddy. He can carry 3 pencils at once, and still move no problem! His wrists can move, his elbows can move, and it can move its head! And best of all: travel sized BABY! His head shield (purple) is cool.

Cons: Not a lot of personality, no remote, a wee bit slow, and...... nothin' else!

He is a true robo buddy. He will hold me till...I wont tell you. :-)

Bought the mini Robosapien for my 4 year old twin boys Robot Birthday Party and it was a huge hit. All the kids played with this little guy and my boys have played with him every day since. Love it!... great deal and a lot of fun for just over $10.

Before discussing the quality of this toy - DO NOT pay $20 for it! It is on clearance at Target for $4. This is a complete rip-off. I was rush shopping for xmas and paid $30 for this thing. My fault for not taking the time to research it, but it's ridiculous for this seller to charge so much!

Target, it turns out, has tons of them. There's a reason for this - it's a piece of junk. Takes two batteries for walking action that is put to shame by the worst wind-up toy. The claws will hardly grip a marshmallow, and only two days with it and it's clear that it will be easily broken, and soon. It's not worth even the four bucks at Target.

It's limited, it's cheap, and it's horrendously over-priced. Don't waste your money.

The worst thing about this toy is that all it does is go forwards. There is no remote control. It's a dumb toy.

as other users had pointed, the mini-robosapien walks continously and is not a robot in the way most kids / adults would expect. Fortunately I got the mini-Robot as part of the bigger Robosapien robot deal (which really meets the marks: includes a control and it has controllable actions). But don't be fooled if you are trying to get those features on this mini-Robosapien, because it won't (and you will be fooled).

It is fun and cheap, i think it is a great robo pal

I've never been a big "command" person, so don't take this to heart, but this robot has NO personality, and I can't stand that! If you want something with personality, you should try I-Cybie, the Robodog. it listens to commands, to, plus recharges itself, gets up when it falls over, has a little personality, matures from a puppy to a dog, and acts like a normal dog should. It's a better buy for people with my taste.

this toy is OK it only walks it pick stuff up but i also would like to know why dose it say a fusion of personalty and technolgy i mean it only walks i recomend this toy a bit just a bit but its ok if you do have enogh money get mini roborapter
