The idea is great , the product looks exciting and really works however, you must be up high to get any real flight and it cannot be controlled. Further couldn't open the battery compartment with any screw driver, glasses mini screw driver or knives, finally had to break open compartment and tape back together to get batteries in. It was fun for awhile-about 20 times around the living room from the top of the staircase. Looks pretty flying and flapping wings.

I bought this toy for my granddaughter--a ten year old who is facing a surgery and a long bed-ridden recovery. I thought she could fly it around the bedroom for entertainment. The butterlfy wing broke when she was trying to get it out of the packaging (it is very delicate and easy to tear--definitely could happen to even an adult trying to get it out of that impossible plastic packaging)--rendering the toy useless without even one flight. The return policy of having to pay shipping--assemble it all back in the original package--and call ahead for approval to return and only defective merchandise being accepted--just seemed like too much of a hassle for a $20 toy to pay shipping price both ways. I'll just throw it put and call it a lost!

My daughter got this toy for Christmas and really likes it. The toy was not what I thought. I thought it would have a remote control and the butterfly would fly continuously in the air. You have to put the butterfly on the controller and shoot it off from that. The butterflty flaps it wings and will fly for a short distance. She has used it a lot and like dit.

A wonderful product I bought for my daughter at Christmas. She has enjoyed playing with it both inside and outside. I would highly recommend it.

It just doesn't stay up in the air long enough. It worked pretty well for a little while. I just recharged my Duracell NiMH batteries, and this time it just runs straight into the ground.

This Butterfly is so pretty, and very easy to use. You don't control its flight, but the tail "wing" is angled so it flies in circles. You can fly it indoors (which amuses my cats!) or outside as long as it is not windy or wet.

We've flown it several times and its been alot of fun. I had no trouble putting the batteries in. It does look delicate but so far its held up well.

My daugter loved the WOW WEE butterfly. My niece and daughter played for hours - very sturdy and any child can easily play with it
