The Price has come down a lot and I think its priced right now.

Pros: Price is right (its come down a lot since it was first released)
This robot has over 90 minutes of stories, jokes and quips so you won't grow bored of it as quickly
Nice remote, can drive it and easy to learn controls
Good mobility and you can turn IR detection on or off
Arms move
Torso moves
head moves
Great expressions
Is funny if you like dumb jokes ( I do:)
Has an SD card for future expansion
Can be used to tell the time or be an alarm clock. Can remember your B-day and Anniversary
Durable
Can be plugged in to preserve batteries

CONS:
Leaves you wanting more
Only the default personalities have been released.
I've seen a hack that will let you load your own content from an SD card but its not supported
Hands can't pick things up.
Takes a lot of batteries (not rechargeable)
My 5 year old doesn't like it. I do:)

Conclusion:
Nice robot, several features and some good content but after spending some time with it you will grow bored and it will become an expensive alarm clock. Really needs wifi to update content, respond to voice commands etc. If you like robots you'll like this one I just can't wait for an improved version.

Mr.Personality is a very cool robot but not really for kids. Many of the jokes are obscure and the stories he tells are long-winded and don't hold interest very well. Wowwee advertises that he has downloadable personalities from thier website. This is FALSE.There are none available. I sent Wowwee an email about this false advertisement but never got a response.With a little know-how you are able to make your own personalities for it but it takes quite a long time to do it right. He does have many neat features such as an alarm clock,guard mode,obsticle avoidance,"magic eightball",daily fortunes,and other stuff. In a smaller livingroom the obsticle avoidance needs to be turned off however so you can remotely control him without him stopping all the time.He is very stable and pretty fast when you move him around. All-in-all I am satisfied with it's performance but not overjoyed. The customer support seems to me a big issue from Wowwee.

Information provided said that this robot was capable of other personalities through a link with WowWee website. This option was said to be "under development" and not available at this time. This was advertised on the sales info and the box. False advertising.

I bought this robot 2 years ago ($200) for my then 8 year old grandson.
After spending over a month researching every robot product out there
I selected this one for one reason & one reason only. You could
download new personalities so my bright grandson would not get bored.
It took him exactly 1 week to go through everything this robot
could possibly do & say. Then I went online to get some new personalities.
To my surprise none to be found! Contacted Wow Wee & to my amazement I was
told they had no plans to make any? Just plans to advertise they were!
This is the most blatant false advertising I have ever seen.
The only reason I gave this a 2 instead of 1 star is after 2 years it is still
working. If he leaves it alone for 3 or 4 months I can take it back out & he will
be entertained again for a day or so.

worked for about 3 seconds, customer service from manufacturer is non existent.

save your money.
this is my first review ever, that's how bad this product is.

wowee is not making any of its robots anymore and will have no customer service!! sending it back will cost half the price of the toy!!

There is no such thing as a bad WowWee robot. From the Robosapien all the way to Mr. Personality, WowWee toys are durable and loads of fun. For the experimenter, Mr. P will accept different personalities and even permit you to create your own with software tools available separately.
