Wow: Worship Orange

Though this CD has lots of my favourite songs on it, like Rock of Ages, In the Secret, Better is One Day, and As the Deer, it definately does not meet the expectations of a predecessor to WoW Worship Blue. Though I like any songs that praise Jesus and my God, it does not have the bang that the first one had. Don't get me wrong - it is a great CD to have in your collection - but if you are a newcomer and want a GREAT worship CD, get WoW Worship Blue.

After hearing some of the clips that Amazon has from this CD, I was very excited to buy it. When I finally got it, however, I was slightly disappointed. The good things are that many of the songs are performed live so they're different from their recorded versions, there is a wide variety of popular worship songs, and the order of the songs is very conducive to worship. It was also the first time I had heard the song Hungry, and it was really powerful. My disappointments with the set were: in Shine Jesus Shine they only repeat the chorus and don't sing the verses, they only sing the first verse of As the Deer, Jesus Lover of My Soul is not the famous hymn of the same name (the one on the CD is still a good song, but I was hoping for the hymn), and towards the end of the second CD it seems like they're cutting down the length of the songs and compromise quality of each song for total quantity of songs on the CD set. I think that the Vineyard's "More Love, More Power" CD set is a better one; but if you can't find that, this one is pretty good.

Anyone who loves the Lord Jesus and has a heart of worship will love to add the WOW Worship Orange cd to their music collection. Although a lot of songs in this compilation were new to me, unlike the previous blue worship cd, the songs moved me and I had strong urges to worship God by singing along as each song played. This cd unlike the previous one, has lyrics so in that aspect, it's better. I would also highly recommend the blue WOW Worship cd if you, the reader, don't already have it. I believe the next WOW Worship cd is coming out next year during the month of May, so I'll be anticipating its release.

I enjoy worshiping the Lord to these modern day worship classics. I especially like the first CD in this set, the songs "Light the Fire Again," "Rock of Ages," "We Want to See Jesus Lifted High," "In That Day," "In the Secret," and "You are God" are just awesome, catchy, melodic worship songs to the Lord. The second CD slows down the pace a little bit and most of the songs are not quite as edgy and tuneful as the songs from the first CD, but "Awesome God," "Shine Jesus Shine," and "God is Good All the Time" deliver the goods.

If you enjoy worshiping the Lord, this is a great collection of modern day worship classics.

This is a great cd. I think I even like it better than the first Wow Worship, and I really like that one. The songs on this album seem to be newer than the songs on the previous one. It's a wonderful collection of many different worship songs, and you'll come away feeling blessed! Definitely worth the money!

This 2-CD set is just wonderful. The worship songs are fromMaranatha, Integrity, and Vineyard, the 3 biggest worship musicpublishers. My favorite songs on Wow Orange are I Will Celebrate, Above All (see my review of the CD by this same by Lenny LeBlanc), I See the Lord, Shine Jesus Shine, As the Deer, Glorify Thy Name, On Holy Ground, Light the Fire Again, Redeemer, Savior, Friend. I guess you could say I like them all!

One thing Wow Worship Orange has that the Blue one does not is the words! In addition, the liner notes have black/white pictures of the CD that the song is from, in case you want to get more songs by that artist, group, etc.

If you are a fan of Wow Worship, you should also be aware that they have piano books for both albums! This is a big help to worship leaders or people just wanting to play and sing these wonderful praise songs! (edit)

Besides Jesus Lover of My Soul, We Want to See Jesus Lifted High, and In The Secret, the songs on Disc 1 are new to me. But, that's okay. Disc 1 is high energy compared to more mellow and meditative Disc 2. That makes it perfect for pulling up to the guys with the bass pulsating out their subwoofers and giving them something else loud to listen to. Disc 2 provides material that's easier to incorporate into worship and to give expression to God's immanence. For those looking for a few good tunes with theologically rich lyrics, Better is One Day is very scriptural. Redeemer, Savior, Friend, is sound.

At first, I was not as pleased with this WOW Worship as the original, mainly because I did not know alot of the songs... but many of them have become my favorite. I would recommend this to anyone who drives alot and needs some praise time with God. The music is great in that it is so varied... If you have the other WOW Worship and this... you have over 60 worship songs .... Put it on Random and be surprised on what song comes next.... We listen to this on Sunday mornings before going to church.... I recommend this!

I purchased the C.D. and have listened to many of my favorites. WOW Worship (Blue cover) had original artists on this C.D. but I found this not to be the case with the new WOW Worship. I still enjoyed the music, but feel that the C.D. was put together by a guitar nut. Most songs have too much screamy guitar moments. Otherwise there are great songs to be enjoyed on this C.D. This is not just a problem of myself being too old, as I worked at a Christian Bookshop, and listened AND enjoyed todays new music. ENJOY!

It starts out with a bang and takes you through a journey of praise, love and awe. Absolutely the best Christian compilation I've found.
