4.0 out of 5 stars For 50 bucks, its worth it ...but getting it out of the box is NUTS!
So which is more secure, Fort Knox or a Robosapien in its box? I think the Robosapien might give Fort Knox a run for its money! After 30 minutes of undoing wire ties and pulling off plastic bars, Robosapien was finally free! Then I though...well maybe they secured him in so tightly because they were afraid of him going amok! No such problem here...after a few batteries...

1.0 out of 5 stars A Waste of Money!
My 6-year old son got this as a gift, and I knew right when I saw it that this was a classic fancy expensive toy that would hold his interest for about two days. He and my 7 year old daughter played with it a lot for one day and a bit the next day and never again.

Compare this to the hours of fun a remote controlled car or plane would provide...

After 30 minutes of undoing wire ties and pulling off plastic bars, Robosapien was finally free! Then I though...well maybe they secured him in so tightly because they were afraid of him going amok! No such problem here...after a few batteries in the right place, Robosapien obeys every command on the remote...except for walking straight, there is a known problem with V1 Robosapien and walking in a straight line...it can't!
That being said, I love to take it out every once in a while and let my youngest daughter have control....she gets a kick out of it saying "Uh-Huh" all the time. Its a great toy for a 10 year old to get acclimated to robotics...but of course, as a robot, it is not much use.....as a toy its great fun!

Robosapien has a ridiculously complex remote with hard to read labels. Each button has two functions so you must push the function key once or twice before almost any other button press - FUN!
The programming function is very complex and not worth the bother at all.
The things my kids enjoyed most were the funny sounds it makes.

The mini Robosapien is equally worthless - it's supposed to walk but our would just tread in place without moving. The kids ended up tying a string to it to pull it along when walking. It doesn't do anything else by the way.
