I love this toy. I recently purchased both the tiger and lion cub. One for my daughter and one for my son. I love them both and my children adore them. They are extremely lifelike. Yes, they do make a robotic noise when they change expression but this is not that noticable and my children don't seem to care. My daughter lavishes kisses on hers constantly. I feel that these toys are worth every penny. They are darling and well made. They are cuddly and adorable.

I bought this toy for my daughter who loves stuffed animals. She was so excited with it. She is still playing with it 3 weeks later, but not carrying it with her everywhere anymore.
There are only 2 cons, it's pricey & might get on adults nerves after a while, but kids love it.

My 4 year old son loves animals and was going through a phase of being afraid of the dark so I was happy to find this. I thought this cub was fantastic, and my friends even got some for their kids after seeing ours. After about a month though, the mechanical noises that it makes while it moves did start to grain on my son, and he always asks me to turn it off now when he is going to bed. All in all, a good "pet" for a boy or a girl.

The WowWee Tiger Cub is not just child's play. We got one for my 95-year old mother, and she just loves it. She is in a care facility, with mild dementia. We thought it might entertain her and give her some company when she was alone. It's proved to be a godsend. She has it in her lap almost all the time, pets it, and talks to it. She's always been a caregiver to others and misses not being able to do that anymore. "Pearl" gives her an opportunity to take care of something. For her, Pearl has become a somebody. It's been very good for her.
This strong attachment could be a problem for some elders, but our mother lets us tell her it's time for Pearl's nap when we visit. Just give the ear a squeeze, and it goes to sleep. The caregivers like it, because they can do household chores away from her and hear her talking to Pearl. They know she's okay. The noises from the toy are not irritating or too loud for others in the home. The mechanical noises are noticeable to us and may be to children, but they don't register with our mother. We had to buy a charger and eight batteries, however, so Pearl is always ready to blink, purr, and make other kitten noises if needed. Durability is good, and the fur is easy to clean. Battery life is good enough, three days or so, but it's a pain to change batteries. It requires a screwdriver. And the flap over the battery compartment takes some dexterity to close properly. Otherwise, the Tiger Cub is a perfectly behaved household pet and would get five stars.

I got this for my 5 year old daughter. She opened it and fell in love. It didn't leave her side for 10 days. She still plays with it and it sleeps with her everynight.
There are a few annoying things about it. One, it doesn't wake up once it falls asleep, you have to shut it off and turn it back on. Two: It has a pre set response loop, it doesn't really respond to anything, it purrs, it growls, it meows... rince repeat. Other than those things it is pretty cool. My Daughter loves it regardless.

Very cute and life like. The kids love them. Paid $49.99 for them, think they should be priced about $15 less.

very cute toy. real sound effects of puring and growling and meowing. good facial movement. the only thing they could improve on is the sound of the mechanism making the animal move. it gets kind of annoying. but over all a very cute toy. good price if you shopped around.

Cute toy but not particularly impressive. Makes some whirring noises, some purring and a growl or two. Moves it's mouth in a very robotic manner. Overall, impresses me as a $20 toy, not a $60-$90 toy. Having said that, it's cute and the kids seem to like it.

Santa brought this item - Since we are not at that place in our family where we would want a "live little critter" this seemed like a nice alternative. My daughter had this on her list, and the price on Amazon was good. She loves it, however, the mechanical noise you hear when the little tiger is making it's noises can be annoying for us adults. That would be the only (little) drawback on this little gal. My daughter actually cradled it in her arms and was scratching (her) belly and she started to purr - that was cute. If I was 5 I would be so happy Santa brought this to me.

this product was a gift for a 4 year old girl. she loved it's facial expressions and played with it for 2 days. it hasn't been touched since.
the toy is nice and great for gentle play, but it lost it's fascination value quickly. |
