5.0 out of 5 stars Very cool wall decor
The moment I saw these on Chiasso, I had to have them. But I didn't want to spend $100's on them. This was a perfect purchase! I would NOT recommend using them as fish bowls unless you can clean them out daily. They have no filtration and start to look not so awesome after a few days of fish eating and business-doing! Maybe plants or other non-living decor!

1.0 out of 5 stars Too Small!!!
First of all, bettas JUMP. I don't see good outcomes. My female jumps ALL the time. My males are nutorious for jumping at the wrong times (ex: While I'm changing their tank)

The size is WAY too small for even bettas. The bare minimum for bettas is a gallon and even then if you can upgrade please do!

I would invest in at least a gallon size...

I would invest in at least a gallon size tank. Please don't be cruel! Look around the internet for REAL instructions on how to take care of your betta. Your betta well thank you for it!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Please Do Not Buy For Fish!!!, October 25, 2009
This review is from: Fish Bubble (Misc.)
This size is WAY to small for a betta! A betta needs at the minimum of 2.5 gal and does best in 5 gallons +. Also, betta JUMP! Without a cover for the opening at the top, you will find your betta on the floor quickly. You will need to do a water exchange on this tank every two days, or the poor water quality will harm your fishie friend.

DO NOT follow these instructions on cleaning! When you clean you CANNOT USE SOAP! You will kill your fish! No matter how well you rinse, there will always be a residue of soap left on the walls.

I have kept betta fish for over 5 years and breed them. Please follow my advice!

I do see how this could be used for other living things, such as plants. It could be a neat project for children watching root systems grow.

2.0 out of 5 stars Acrylic Wall Mount, January 12, 2011
This review is from: Fish Bubble (Misc.)
A 1-gallon half-bowl is, general, a convenient and lovely home for a small fish. I have several half-bowls for my bettas.

I do not like the design of this half-bowl because the mounting portion is inconvenient. In order to clean the bowl, the mount has to be disassembled. Petco offers similar bowls with a better mount. Those bowls can be lifted on and off of the wall screw, without any need for disassembling the entire mount.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice beta home!, December 3, 2011

After reading some of the negative reviews on this item describing this fishbowl is an inhumane habitat for a beta, I just gotta say nonsense! I've had the same beta on my desk for almost 5 years in one of those little beta bowls you get at the pet store. He is a great fish and seems to be happy. He doesn't complain about anything and actually is always happy to see me after the weekend. He is a beauty with long flowing fins and tail, has a good appetite and gets a water change every Friday before I leave. This wall mounted bowl is about 4X the amount of water that Old Blue lives in and the new resident of the wall mounted bowl" Whalie" seems happy! I'd like to add that the beta that I had in a well cycled 29 gallon tank with top of the line filtration died in a week. Go figure!

5.0 out of 5 stars What I expected and more., September 29, 2011

I have had this item for about two weeks now. I bought it because my cat loved to knock over the old fish bowl. The bowl was a bit larger than I expected, which was nice. I keep a single beta fish and a single snail in the bowl and so far I've been very pleased. The bowl is well made and came with the rocks and a fake plant. Great buy!

I originally ordered fish bowl with hole for nail on the inside. The 2 I purchased are clearly on the outside with a tab. The reason I ordered those with hole on inside is because I have 8 at home I wanted them to match. Since I received wrong ones, I may opt to buy somewhere else.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love this fish bowl!, July 5, 2011

This is the coolest fish bowl ever! It was very easy to install and it looks fabulous. I am constantly getting compliments on it. My daughter has 2 small african water frogs that live in the bowl. They seem to like it as well. There is plenty of room to swim around. I don't know why anyone would think that this bowl isn't big enough for a beta fish. It is quite a large bowl with plenty of room to swim. I put some decorative rocks in the bottom that I bought at Target and it looks great. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because mine didn't come with the screw to mount the bowl. This actually turned out ok because I would prefer to use a wall anchor. I definitely recommend using a metal wall anchor because the bowl can get pretty heavy after you add the rocks and water. I would definitely recommend this bowl to anyone who wants a beautiful statement piece as well as a happy home for their beta fish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fish Bowl, December 18, 2010

I wanted something for my daughters wall in her playroom without sticking posters all over and did not have a whole lot of space. This worked perfectly. She loves the fighting fish and was a great way of having more than one fish without taking up a lot of room.
