This is Top Notch Higgins. Be warned that this is a little Dated. The setting is the era of the ORIGINAL "Day of the Jackal". Believable story. Interesting Characters.

This book is interesting in it's history for me because I was a submariner. The novel as a work for reading seemed to be disjointed as it seemed to bounce through history and places.

But for the sloppy editing of the electronic version. I am sure the original paperback from 1964 did not have these errors - taught for taut and poised for paused to name a couple. So I am immersed in the story and a bad homonym rolls in and causes the brain to say what?? And I am sitting there holding the Kindle. And it ended a little abruptly for me. But it was an excellent thrill ride while it lasted - classic Higgins.

After reading the first Jack Higgins book I now own most of the ones he has written. Enjoy the Sean Dillon series the most. I would recommend these books to anyone that likes action novels.
