Great song; the original Billboard hit version,

This review is from: Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald (MP3 Download)
Everybody knows what Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald is ... just the most unlikely Billboard pop chart hit; over 6 minutes of the true story of a Great Lakes shipwreck. So don't be confused by the unfamiliar "album"; it's just a Rhino Records 5 song MP3 collection of Lightfoot's best known songs. This is the original hit first released on Summertime Dream (1976), remastered exquisitely by Rhino's Bill Inglot. (The same is true for the other 4 hit songs on the "Hi-Five" MP3 collection). Notable in the original recording (vs. the re-recording on Gord's Gold Volume 2, not currently available as an MP3) is the unmistakable pedal steel played by Peewee Charles. It places you right on Lake Superior on that fateful night. c2008 by Valerie L Shainin

I love this song!! The lyrics and music fit beautifully together. It's a modern telling for a modern sea wreck.

It a great song but I really don't have 20? words to describe it. I am not a big fan for the artist but this song is very good. Did I get to 20?
