On their second and best full-length effort to date, Number One Cup throw off their low-fi label and surrender to rock's temptations. Many have flung the "sounds like Pavement" phrase at this band since the first critic did so, parroting (and unfortunately perpetuating) an inaccuracy. This record rocks long, loud, and illogically (which is good).
