Editorial Reviews

Review

"AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING! I'm not sure how to begin this review and remain professional... so I'll just be honest. I FUDGING loved this book! (SOOO SOOO MUCH!) It was fantastic!=)..." ~ Nancy Figueroa, Tumbling Books, book blog

"The characters were fantastic, and the character development was even better. The events in this book were so monumental that it would have been unbelievable if they hadn't changed. I don't even know how to describe how I felt about the character development and the plot...it was just perfect. Nobody could have written it any better. It seemed so realistic!" ~  Grace, YA-Aholic book blog.

"...A Fun Debut Novel! My favorite part of the book was their time on the island. The character dynamics were well done, and Casey clearly put a lot of thought into what they would need to do to survive, not just physically but emotionally. This was a fun book and a promising debut novel..." ~ Ally Arendt- Word Vagabond

"This book had me at Hello... I had never heard of Elle Casey prior to getting this book..I wish I had ... I loved the fact that [the story] was about siblings having to befriend other siblings." ~ Peggy, Le' Book Squirrel blog

5.0 out of 5 stars A fast read... April 9, 2012
By Angel
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Loved this book and the writing style of this book. I am not a prude like some who have commented on here. Harsh language and adult content does not offend me. Quite frankly, I felt the kids in this novel were pretty much dead on. The way they talked, acted and grew is very much like kids to day are. I didn't feel this novel promoted teen pregnancy or anything even close to it. Please. The Author obviously knows kids these days and did an excellent job in fleshing these characters out and making them real. I got attached and was rooting for them to be safe and happy. I do hope you plan on finishing up that second novel because we (your readers) have been left hanging. Would suggest this book to other avid readers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrecked is first-rate! April 9, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Wrecked may have been intended for a YA audience, but I am almost 60 and I enjoyed this book about four very different teenagers who formed a family in order to survive on a tropical island. I didn't really have a favorite character; they all seemed real and likable in their own ways. It was easy to immerse myself in this story because it was very well-written with fantastically vivid imagery along with authentic dialogue that was a lot of fun to read. Although I am reasonably sure that Candi and Kevin got back together after he apologized some more, I really would have liked to read about it in an epilogue. Oh, well. I would highly recommend reading Wrecked to anyone who likes lighthearted adventure/romances and I am sure they would not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Longing for the sequel May 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I downloaded this book because it was free. I started reading it this morning thinking it would be a mindless read I could tolerate putting down and getting back to eventually. I read all day and am now sitting here longing for the sequel. I was really enjoying the main characters new attitude when BAM, the book ENDED! I WANT MORE!

Reading the other reviews I'm a little dissapointed with the few stars. You can tell this is going to be a series. The "lack of deatils in the father/daughter relationship", Sarah gave out just enough to let you fill in the blanks. I'm sure we'll find out more in the following books. Complaining that the kids didn't miss their parents enough or worry about them. They were on the brink of death, they were in survival mode while in the ocean. They then explained it was to hard to think about them at first, that they did miss certain aspects of their parents but they didn't have good relationships anyway (Sarah). The placemats, cots, pillows...they were trying to make their new place a "home", plus I'd imagine keep busy.

Elle Casey, I loved your book! Bravo! You will always have negative critics but you can't please everyone!

P.S. I love the new attitudes of the characters. I'm sad about how Kevin acted but was really starting to fall for him again in the last page. I love Sarah's new attitude and language. I couldn't stop giggling. SUPER proud of Johnathon!
