Book Description

WrestleCrap series December 1, 2007

Ever wanted to know the worst career choices pro wrestlers made upon retirement? Or which kung fu chop-socky wrestlers would make Bruce Lee do a backflip in his grave?

The WrestleCrap Book of Lists! has all that — and much more. The gloves are off as best-selling author RD Reynolds and his co-author Blade Braxton pull no punches in looking at some of wrestling’s biggest mistakes, most comical mishaps and most egotistical performers. Among the lists included in this cornucopia of wrestling nonsense are:

• Sights Wrestling Fans Should Never Be Forced To See Again!

• The Greatest Mullets in the History of the Game!

• Porn Stars Who Moonlighted in Wrestling!

• The Proof that DX is really, REALLY Gay!

• The Greatest Mugshots — Featuring Your Favourite Wrestlers!

• The Pieces of Definitive Evidence that WCW May Have Been Run By Nazis!

• Pro Wrestling’s Stupidest Hometowns!

• The Things That Vince McMahon Always Wants to Talk About (Half of Which Involve His Genitalia)!

Of course, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the book’s craptastic main event: the 25 Worst Gimmicks of All Time.

Irreverent, off-kilter, and certain to be offensive to all, The WrestleCrap Book of Lists! is pro wrestling’s very worst of the worst!

4.0 out of 5 stars Book of oddly numbered lists, December 24, 2007
This review is from: The WrestleCrap Book of Lists! (WrestleCrap series) (Paperback)
The boys over at Wrestlecrap.com have gone through their database, collect and organized many of the worst ideas, characters, and storylines throughout wrestling history to form the WrestleCrap Book of Lists. If you visit the website, you know what it is all about, this book simply organized many of those dreaded concepts and people into an easy to read and pretty darn hilarious format. I'm not going to compile their lists, you'll just have to trust they all fit and are very funny. You'll disagree on some things but mostly, it's pretty dang close to what we all feel. Some 'facts' of stories may not be entirely accurate (such as around pg 42, The guys say Zybysko blackmailed Dusty with the Baby Doll photos, memory tells me it was Tully Blanchard {Baby Doll was Tully's valet} but well, they have the video library and I don't). There's a good bunch of photos but the best is page 106.

My only beef with the book is that the lists are really pretty oddly numbered. It's not standard Top 10 style but anywhere from a List of 25 to 1. Really guys, 1 entry is not a List. Many stayed in that 7 items range and I would have liked to have had a consistent Top 10 or 15 items per list. Minimum of 5 items in a short list.

You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll say "WTF were they thinking?". Read it, enjoy it, and laugh at how stupid wrestling can be. Great job guys.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let the crap keep on coming!, December 21, 2007
By
This review is from: The WrestleCrap Book of Lists! (WrestleCrap series) (Paperback)
I got this book opened to a random page and read it. I loved it right away. The writers have a way of writing stuff that is funny but true at the same time. While I dont know there next plan for a book will be, I cant wait to read it. Excellent book and a great companion piece to WrestleCrap: The Very Worst of Pro Wrestling. If you enjoy wrestling books that are honest and not penned by WWE wrestlers or Scott Keith, then this book is for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately, pass ...., July 14, 2008
This review is from: The WrestleCrap Book of Lists! (WrestleCrap series) (Paperback)
Well, let's start by saying that I loved Wrestlecrap's first 2 books. The Death of WCW was one of the most comprehensive, detailed accounts of the meteoric rise and subsequent death of a wrestling company that should have NEVER died.

That being said, this book was a HUGE dissapointment. The thought of a book of lists involving the worst pro wrestling had to offer sounded like tons of fun. Unfortunately, the book is not. It appeared to me, as a previous review pointed out, that most of book seemed like filler. And that filler was neither funny nor clever.

Skip this one. Cross your fingers. Wait for the next one.
