It is designed to be read to children who are less than eight years of age by a parent or other caring adult. It offers a structured but enjoyable way to provide a thorough introduction to the sport. Getting acquainted with wrestling isn't easy and it can be discouraging. This book makes it fun.

About the Author
An educator for more than forty years and a retired college president, Dr. Bauer wrestled for Slippery Rock State College in the late Fifties. He was a coach with the North Allegheny Junior Wrestling Program in Wexford, Pennsylvania for five years and many of the eight-to-twelve-year-olds he instructed during the early Eighties later achieved national prominence at the high school and university levels.

Great introduction to wrestling for kids!,

As a parent and junior high wrestling coach for the past 15 years I found this book very informative. It was a great way to introduce my son into the sport and spend time with him. The book covers all the necessities to introduce young children to the sport. I was able to interact with my son and answer questions as they arose. A definite must for anyone just getting into the sport of wrestling.

Dr. Baur did an excellent job with the book. I reccomend it for any body who is interestred in wrestling. What a great way to write a book for kids. Dr. Baur is an excellent writer and a wonderful scholar. Congratuations on the future New York Times Number ONE best seller!!!!!
