Editorial Reviews

What makes America the Greatest Country on Earth? Why, Wrestling Women, of course! And here's a vintage look at the Golden Age of Female Wrestling, back when the Cold War was hot, television was new, and Women's Wrestling first exploded on the national scene! See six spectacular all-star matches featuring Lily Bitter vs. June Beyers, Cora Combs vs. Laraine Johnson, Clara Mortensen vs. Rita Martinez, The Blonde Ballerina (Lynn O'Connor) vs. June Adair, Ella Waldeck vs. Jane Mull, and Ida May & Violet Vian vs. Carrie Majors & Betty Hawkins! Add in bonus shorts, stills, audio commentary and much more--plus the 1951 feature "Pin-Down Girl!"--and you'll watch brazen bombshells battle it out in over 3-1/2 rough-and-tumble hours of catfights, scissor locks, and buxom body-slamming action!

5.0 out of 5 stars Punishers Of The Ring October 10, 2001
By "mera1"
Womens wrestling as it used to be:women who sat on your face or
squeezed your head between their thighs till you you were barely conscious, and did not feel sorry for you. This DVD is brimming with the head scissors and face sitting you loved to watch. Women, especially, will enjoy this retrospective, watching their own kind laying on their sides, crushing heads between their powerful legs, or staring down at their oppponents eyes, the only part of their faces visible, as their bottoms smother the consciousness from them.

4.0 out of 5 stars Peaches Page, Baby! April 18, 2006
At first appearance, it looks like a mediocre collection of vintage female wrestling clips, most of which are pretty redundant. The shorts (both in and out of the ring) are interesting and somewhat humourous, but I highly recommend it solely for the inclusion of PIN DOWN GIRLS, a great exploitation fillm starring Tim Farrell and the wondrous, mysterious Peaches Page. A great find!

1.0 out of 5 stars boring stuff June 13, 2003
By A Customer
This dvd contains a lot of old black & white wrestling stuff but it is not interesting at all. It contains a small black & white movie which is about a female wrestler and also a long boring catfight with very bad sound and picture. If you love womens wrestling and catfighting do not buy this movie.

1.0 out of 5 stars Deceptive marketing January 12, 2012

Verified Purchase
I found this DVD with a search on Amazon which auto-completed with the words "facesitting DVDs." Two reviewers referred to scenes involving facesitting - one specifically, "Pindown Girls." This and any other scenes on this "camp" DVD showing films from the 1940's included *NO* facesitting scenes, whatsoever, *ANYWHERE* on this DVD. Nor were there any instances of mixed wrestling - a total misrepresentation of the product.

If this is what you're looking for, you won't find it here.
