Product Description

The Wrino is a multi function boat mooring hook that allows quick and efficient mooring in all boating conditions, without the hazard of leaving the boat deck. This avoids stress and many of the risks of accidentsand damage. The design has won five awards including NMMA's 2008 MAATS award. The dual hooks, and line and lasso clips allow sailors to place and recover mooring lines, lasso cleats, pylons and buoys and thread a line through a buoy ring. The Wrino works with 3/8, 1/2 and 5/8 inch lines.

I've used this for one boating season; given the option I would not buy this item again. I agree that the design is clever but what I use it most for is to push or pull to or from the dock. Being a telescoping rod it has collapsed more times then I care to admit. I have pretty much tightened (and I mean tighten it)it at the length that I normally use it and leave it that way. The other problem I've ran across is the rubber handle coming of my hand as I use it to pull the boat towards the dock; leaving me holding the rubber handle and the pole in the water. The only ones that have enjoyed this mooring hook have been the people on the dock watching me struggle with it

I loved it. We are doing half of the Great Loop. If you are doing much locking through in the river/lake system, I highly recommend this. It made the floating bollards a dream. I would think that if you have a dock that has pilons to tie up to that this would make lassoing so much easier. You could use a hook to help you dock, but then you should just get a hook. I thought that it took locking through to another level.
