I have suffered with Carpal Tunner Syndrome for many years. In 2001 I had "tendon release surgery" on both wrists and no longer have any problems unless I really, really overuse my wrists. BUT, prior to the surgery I tried at least a dozen different brands of wrist supports, and this was the winning brand and style. I recently purchased a few more pairs of these via Amazon because my old ones were getting beat. I spent a long time looking for these particular supports, and finally found the manufacturer. The manufacturer's "Internet Source" is not economical, but the Amazon source was extremely economical. I still use these to sleep in after wrist overuse and occasionally as I am "overusuing" my wrists if the activity is conducive to being performed with straight wrists. They wash wonderfully (remove the metal brace and close the velcro--air dry) and are very sturdy. My first ones lasted for 10 years!!!

The wrist support I received is not like the one pictured. I almost returned it - but needed it immediately and didn't have time to order another. I couldn't find one like this in stores at all. After wearing it and breaking it in it is great and works well for me.The sizing listed is good. the biggest issue I have with the size is that it is very long on the hand so it goes all the way to my pinkie meaning I can't wear it while typing - something I was specifically hoping to be able to do. I probably WOULD purchase this again if I needed a replacement or one for the other hand.

The wrist support I received is not quite as pictured--it lacks the stitching shown in the picture, which looks like it would give it a more tailored fit. The one I received is straight, and doesn't really contour to the wrist unless you pull it pretty tight. Also the picture doesn't show the back, where the velcro fasteners are, or you would see that the strip that the tabs stick to is a little over an inch wide, while the velcro tabs that stick to it are more than two inches long--so if you have a small wrist you end up with an inch or more of the velcro tab ends sticking up. Add that to the sewn-on label that also sticks up, and you have, well, tabs sticking out all over. It's definitely not something you would wear in public. It needs a sleeve to cover it, or else maybe you can cut the tabs shorter. But, aside from that, with the aluminum stabilizer, it does give good support.
