I bought these wraps because I have wrist pain when I bench press. They were a little too long. I had to wrap them around so much and felt that they were too bulky on my wrists. They do help with keeping your wrist supported though.I bought the 12in. wraps which feel less bulky.

I have a reconstructed wrist, I must use wrist wraps for weights that place extraodinary strain on it. I have gone through the cheap sets from Oshmans, etc.. as well as competition grade Inzers. The cheaps stuff offered no support and poor elasticity. The Inzers get too stiff to quick for daily use. I use APT lifting straps religiously, so when it was time to get new wraps, I automatically went to them first. I bought the ZRV-pro and the 24" Black mamba sets. The black mamba set instantly became the "go to" set for daily as well as max effort lifting. They have excellent elasticity and can get to about competition stiffness but the range is so great you can adjust them almost infinitely, from medium support to super stiff, very easily. IE the do not "lock up" too fast. even at near maximum support, they do not get uncomfortable or bind or dig into the wrist. Unless you are a competitive powerlifter and need "competition approved" straps, these will do everything you can ask of them, and do it well. I am not affiliated with APT, but i always recommend them to anyone who asks. While you are there, check out all the lifting straps, knee wraps, and elbow sleeves, and other hardcore lifting supports and accessories

I'm very happy with this purchase. I developed tendinitis on my left wrist somehow a few months ago and had to have one of those cortisone shots which was quite uncomfortable. The orthopedic surgeon recommended I use a wrist wrap to prevent further injury. After searching in all the stores in town and finding pretty weak looking wraps I decided to try amazon and this Black Mamba wrap was the one that caught my eye the most. For the price it is really fantastic. I'm not a professional lifter or anywhere close. I just like to work out at the Y like most people trying to stay in shape. My opinion is strictly of a regular guy who doesn't have prior experience with wrist or any other kind of wraps for that matter. But I would say that they have helped me tremendously and that they are quite comfortable even when I tighten them a lot for heavier weights. I would most certainly recommend these even paying the extra s/h charge they are quite nice. It's either one of these more expensive ones or a cheapo wrap from a sports store that is going to be uncomfortable, not last nearly as long and possibly not really help in any significant way. I hope this helps if anyone is on the fence about spending a bit more for a quality product. By the way, the shipping was quite fast on it too.

I purchased these straps after being disappointed with various straps that were sold by local sporting goods stores. These straps have far outperformed all of the previous and I feel absolutely NO pain or tension in my wrists when bench pressing over 375 lbs! Some of my lifting buddies have straps that are black and red, and always ask me where I got mine as they look better and outperform their own straps. Can't beat the price for this product. Happy lifting! |
