I bought this product because I was searching for some kind of radio that operates without the need of being held in my hand. So it fulfill my first need. I also wanted a product that won't allow me or anybody else to forget and carry it on. Once you put this in your wrist, you will be set to use it. Another requirement was that it has to have VOX options. Which it does. The range I tested it must be in the 1to two miles range. Sound is not perfect but good enough for what you would espect from this kind of radios. Just don't wait it to be clear as a landline. No walkie would be. They came with a rechargeable battery charged to last as long as about a day. Maybe this was the problem another reviewer mistakenly points as hardware failure. Maybe it was a discharged battery.
All in all, this is a good product. For what it is.

These were a huge hit at Christmas - kids loved them. Nice quality. Good delivery time. Expensive but think they will last a while unlike so much of the plastic toys.

For Christmas we purchased a pair of these for our two young sons who spend a lot of time at the park directly in front of us. With these walkie talkies we can check in on them from anywhere in the house. It certainly doesn't parent for us as we still physically check on them, but the convenience of telling them to come in for dinner, or when they have questions they can ask without coming in and out, makes these a great investment.

The park is about the size of a full block and there hasn't been any issues with range yet. There is an antenna, but we keep the antenna tucked away to prevent it from being broken off. While they each have one of these, we have a handheld two-way radio we use to reach them. There is an issue where they can't communicate with us unless we first hit the talk button. It's like the handheld loses signal. We assume this is the handheld and not the watches, but we're not certain. Our plan is to get another set of these for us to use, and I expect we will no longer have any issues.

The only issue I have with the watches is there is no battery indicator. We try to charge them nightly, but it would be nice to know how much battery is left. I believe the only time battery is shown is when it is low and needs charged. We have yet to see that show up, so I would say the battery life is pretty good, although not thoroughly tested by us yet.

Our boys wear these on their small wrists without much problem. They appear to accommodate a wide range of sizes and fit snugly on their wrists, as well as ours. It is very bulky, but this is expected. Giving these to children you can expect them to accumulate some wear and tear. My 8 year old was horse playing and scratched his up a little, but it didn't affect the performance at all.

Finally, they absolutely love them. All of the kids want them and our boys love playing spy games, and this is perfect for that.

- Works w/ Other Two-Way Radio's (although maybe not perfectly)
- Durable

Cons:
- Battery Indicator Not Always Visible
- Bulky (but expected)

They worked well at first but within 1 week of the the Walkie Talkies stopped working altogether. They were purchased as a gift and I was dissapointed with this purchase.
