Book Description

May 4, 2001

For the most part this is an angry story. A tale of betrayal by judges and lawyers of their solemn oath who cheated a Cajun family out of $18,792,259.20, in oil royalties.

Claverie v Texon, is a true story and is documented in the public record. This is not just a story for lawyers and judges but for the 18-wheeler "gear-jammer" as well. The Claveries and their attorney in the federal summary judgment hearing and the state hearing were "mugged" by four federal judges and one state judge in this novel. Texon is a pseudonym.

References to the characteristics of the passenger jet are true. The flight in the hurricane on its way to Puerto Rico with the insane lesbian sky-jacker is pure fiction. The specifics of the airline caterers' employees' opportunity for sneaking on board an airliner is still true today. God forbid. This novel is intended for the adventurous and all thoughtful members of the Bar.

About the Author

Robert E. Lee, Sr. (Bob E.) was born in Watertown, S. Dakota and he and his identical twin were brought to Miami, Fla. by his mother and father during the Great Depression.

While in High School in Coral Gables, Fla., the Twins were nominated to the Miami Hearld's All-City Football Team. They volunteered for the U.S. Navy two months short of their 18th birthday in 1944, for WWII duty. After Boot Camp they volunteered for the Amphibious Forces and left for Ft. Pierce, Fla. for training as small-boat Coxn's to bring our forces ashore on the many islands in the South Pacific. But during their first week they volunteered for an outfit named Underwater Demolition Teams, who are now the grandfathers of our famous U.S. Navy SEALS of today. They were sent to the city of Yokasuka, Japan, in Tokyo Bay, to take out the Japanese midget submarines seven days before the surrender on board the Battleship Missouri, after our two A-Bombs were dropped.

Bob E. took his law degree from Tulane in May of 1960, and still actively practices in all Federal and State courts. He has filed three Writs of Certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Courts and all were DENIED by telegram. While at Tulane Bob E. was elected Justice of his law school fraternity Phi Alpha Delta, and then President of the Airlines Stewards and Stewardesses, Int'l., while working for Eastern Airlines. He reigned from EAL to practice law full time. He married a beautiful Puerto Rican lady born in Ponce, P.R. and they have a handsome son, Robert E. Lee, Jr. and now live in Laffite, La.
