4.0 out of 5 stars Well Spoken, Well Sang and Well worth the Money, November 29, 2006

This is a wonderfully contemporary gospel album. This is the album I was expecting from Ruben Studdard a couple of years ago. Contemporary, yet traditional enough to keep you from feeling as if you were listening to a R Kelly album with the words changed from her or him to "Jesus." "Write My Song", "Remember to Breath" and "Being With You" are my personal favorites, but I honesty love every song. His voice is very rich, quietly powerful and reflective, but his presentation is very restrained (there needs to be more of this restraint in gospel music these days...seems loudeer is better even where the material lacks depth).

5.0 out of 5 stars It's The Anointed Soulful Voice,, August 5, 2006

Marcus is blessed with a soulful anointed voice. Loved his performance on "Come Home" from the Andrae Crouch project "Mighty Wind". Like soulful legends of the past he's blessed to interpret lyrics and take the listner into the heart of the song. There's not much more I can say. This most likely will be the first of many solo projects for this gifted, anointed singer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where have you been, January 27, 2007
This review is from: Write My Song (Audio CD)
It's hard to explain marcus's style..he has a clear raspiniess to his voice. He knows exactly where to run on each song and where to let it rest. Bless my Soul and Remember to Breath are my favorite. He does not lean wholly on vocals(although he could)but the lyrics are amazing!! Get it..you will not be dissapointed!!!
