The best resume book,
By Kelly Krazychic (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: How to Write a Winning Resume (Paperback)
If you like things taking you "step by step" and providing examples along the way, you'll love this book. I hated other books blabbing on and on about marketing yourself and speaking abstractly. This one started page one with (I paraphrase) "Okay, let's make a big ol' list of edu/experience/skills..etc broken down into categories. You'll pick from this list to build your resume for a specific job.Sounds like "duh", right? But that is the great thing about it. It was clear easy steps on what to do and in what order. Take a little bit on at a time, and before you know it, you've got a winning resume! Don't waste your time with the other books. You wont get anywhere. This book "holds your hand" in a good way. |
