10 Write-On/Wipe-Off Graphic Organizers That Build Early Reading Skills

This write-on/wipe-off graphic organizer has been a great asset in my first grade classroom. The pictures and colors help sustain children's attention. They love to write on it.

This is a chart with ten different graphic organizers. The organizers cover a wide range of topics that will help with story elements, character development, problems, and reading comprehension. I love the fact that they are wipe off and reuse. I purchased the chart and had it sitting near my big book stand in the classroom. The children saw it and immediately wanted to use it. So...I picked up the book I had planned to read that day, flipped through the charts, found one appropriate for the story, and used it to aid in comprehension. The kids loved it!

Our eight year old has a language processing learning difference (dyslexia) and we've consistently used this organizer to help build book reports for 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. Highly recommend as an organization tool of choice.

I used this in my literacy work centers (1st grade) last year. It was a great resource and the kids enjoyed using dry erase markers to complete the organizers. Also - on the back of each organizer is a smaller version that I copied to send home for homework so they could reinforce the skills at home.

WITH SO MUCH PAPER WORK IN TEACHING, I REALLY NEED AS MANY TIME SAVERS AS I CAN FIND. THIS IS IT!!!!
