Format: Paperback
At less than 200 pages, this book is smaller than most books on this subject. However, in spite of the small size, this book is packed with a lot of useful information on how to write an essay. It provides a concise description of the do's and don'ts of how to write an essay and doesn't drone on about how to get into the right frame of mind before writing the essays. As the parent of a college-bound student, I was surprised that the book was able to teach me a few things on grammar.
One of the most useful parts of this book is the 8 essays provided. It showed various essays, both good and bad, and provided an explanation of why it was good or bad. (But of course, if you read the book, you would have come to the same conclusion.) I highly recommend this book.
