This "book" is basically an extended sales pitch to buy the author's training course on how to write a book, which is priced at $49.95. What a joke! It amazes me how many people have 5 starred this book. Certainly it demonstrates that there is money to be made writing "teasers" to sell to the unsuspecting public. Bottom line -- if you're a consultant or self-employed professional in almost any field looking to increase your credibility and client base, then yes, by all means, write a book. There, I just saved you $3.95.

I was expecting a few pointers on how one can write a book. I am an entrepreneur who knows that a book can help my business a lot. Author agrees and drives in the point over and over with out going on the specifics of how to go about it.

The title said it will help me write a book but does not have any content on the same.

I bought this book based on all the 5 star reviews. I read the other reviews and thought that because of all the convincing 5 star reviews, I should buy the book. What a rip-off! What I gained from the book, absolutely nothing that I had not read before. So, I am going to save you some money and summarize it for you;
Write a book, you will be an expert in something. Writing a book gives you credibility in your industry.
He tells you in a few bullet points how to upload your book to kindle. This is to have the following info ready;
Book title and subtitle
Book description
Cover in original digital form
Book manuscript

Your book can be 10 000 to 30 000 words in length, that is enough.
If others can write a book, so can you.

So there you go, I hope that I have saved you some valuable money and time.

Good luck with your self publishing.

This book needs a really good editor to go through it and clean things up. This person uses so many commas in the sentences that I felt as though I had a stutter. The cover of this book is offensive and sends a confusing message. You think you are getting a book that will help motivate you to write a book, but the tag line says you are going to be increasing your book sales, implying that you already have a book. There are better books out there on self-publishing. Additionally, the author pitches his website and products throughout the book.

You know, this book just isn't for everyone. Here are 7 reasons why it might not be for you.

1. You don't want to become known to the media and the world as an expert in your field.
2. You already have enough money.
3. You can't take about 20 minutes to read 32 measly pages.
4. You don't want to become known to your friends as a "bookworm."
5. You don't want to add author to your already growing list of impressive credentials.
6. You are bound and determined that if you do write a book, it will be equal in length to "War and Peace."
7. Your kids already think you're cool.

However, if none of these apply to you, I highly recommend that you read this short little book. In it you will read about actual people who had the same concerns that you do about writing a book, and overcame those concerns, reaping rewards even better than what many of them had ever hoped or imagined.

Read this book and you'll discover:

*How Pete Peterson made $81,000 a year selling his book at the back of the room after he gave presentations.

*How 12 year old twin girls with learning disabilities published their first novel together and went on to win awards and sell their book all over the world.

*How Gabe Berman's book got him noticed by Deepak Chopra!

*And more!!!

Anyway, as a published author, I can attest the writing a book was the best thing I have ever done in my life and if I can do it, you can do it too.

So what are you waiting for? Drop a measly $3.01 and buy this book! (You can thank me later!)

A very straightforward book to motivate entrepreneurs, consultants, and other experts to write and self-publish a book. This is less of a "how to self-publish book" and more of a "tough love for procrastinators" book.

I've read a lot of books about writing, but this particular book is unique. It doesn't give you any instructions on 'how' to write a book - nothing about plotting, perspective, outlining or editing. What it does is tell you is how writing a book can help your career - help you ace an interview, increase your consulting gigs or land more speaking gigs. I had never thought about many of the ideas in this book (and I consider myself to be pretty savvy!), so it was a real eye opener. Some readers have criticized it because the author does promote some of his blogs and other services in the book, but that's kind of the whole point of the book to begin with - to show people that writing a book can be good for your career! And while he does promote some of his other businesses, you don't need to explore any of that to get the valuable information that the book title promises - it's all right here between the covers. I also really appreciated his writing style - very conversational and to the point. It's a short book - only about 50 pages, and I usually hate short books because they skimp on information, but this one is jam packed, not only with instructions but real-world examples and case studies as well. I originally got this book by 'borrowing' it as an Amazon Prime member. But I liked it so much that I returned the borrowed copy and bought myself a copy at retail price, simply because the information was that valuable, and I wanted to support the author's work. Very well done!
