1.0 out of 5 stars Ripoff -- You're Paying for a Sales Pitch June 25, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This "book" is basically an extended sales pitch to buy the author's training course on how to write a book, which is priced at $49.95. What a joke! It amazes me how many people have 5 starred this book. Certainly it demonstrates that there is money to be made writing "teasers" to sell to the unsuspecting public. Bottom line -- if you're a consultant or self-employed professional in almost any field looking to increase your credibility and client base, then yes, by all means, write a book. There, I just saved you $3.95.

I was expecting a few pointers on how one can write a book. I am an entrepreneur who knows that a book can help my business a lot. Author agrees and drives in the point over and over with out going on the specifics of how to go about it.

The title said it will help me write a book but does not have any content on the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars Want to Write a Book? Read This One First! March 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This is one of those books a person wishes had been written sooner. Although I finally managed to get 5 ebooks and 2 physical books written, it took more than 5 years. It gets easier as you learn the process, but that's the hard way. Jim's book will help you learn the steps so much faster, along with some neat tricks to help you get over the idea that you can't write, don't have anything to say that's "worth reading," or that you don't have the time. This book has inspired me to keep writing. And my next books won't take so long!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Quick Education in the New Book Publishing World March 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Despite the gimmicky title, "Write a F-ing Book Already" is actually an overview of the new book publishing universe in which we each can become the master of our own message without the intervention of publishers, editors, and marketing guardians -- we're free to publish whatever we view as appropriate. The book has 3 sections: The first explains that just having written and published a book makes you an instant expert on the topic in the eyes of many - be they prospective customers, clients, or a future employer. The 2nd part has dozens of short examples of authors who have done the thing, and how they have benefited. Part 3 gets down to business with many tips on how to begain and sustain the actual writing and tips for how/where to get it published and printed at virtually minimum cost. The whole book is written in Jim Kukral's breezy style and it makes the read move fast and easy. If you're even thinking you might do a book, you own it to yourself to dive into this little manual for inspiration, suggestions, and know-how. John Klein - Klein Direct - Direct Marketing Consulting

5.0 out of 5 stars This Book Gets You Moving March 13, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I love the way Jim got right to the point and asked a number of people what was stopping them from writing a book. Then he went point by point and explained why their concerns are not valid and how they each have something unique and beneficial to contribute by writing and self publishing a book of their own.

4.0 out of 5 stars No-nonsense title, no-nonsense book March 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Like many would-be authors, I find it's all too easy to get lost in the negatives - the mental traps that keep a body from even trying to succeed. So the title of this book spoke to me.

With a blunt, no-nonsense approach, Kukral offers a nice overview of the hows, whats, and whys of writing your own book. If some of the information seemed a little
sparse, he includes links to his company website for further reading. Pitched at nonfiction, it still had a few nuggets for those of us more inclined to fictional writing.) It certainly won't be the only writing book you'll ever need - Kukral glosses over the actual writing parts of writing a book, such as outlining and grammar and editing - but it points out so many benefits that it's hard to argue against penning a book.

Short and sweet and to the point, this is a good kick in the tail to get your fingers on the keyboard - where they belong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Encouraging!!! March 19, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
In this easy-read book Jim Kukral does an exceptional job of making his point which was essentially... "You Can Do This!" He made it clear that writing a book is not necessarily about making a boat load of money through book sells, but rather moreover about adding credibility, landing a job, promoting your business, etc, etc. He includes real life examples/quotes of how the common everyday person uses the book writing strategy in their professional lives and even tells you how/where you can go to find hundreds of individuals that are willing to share their success stories relevant to your industry or the topic you choose to write about. If you are considering writing a book read this first. You will generate a wealth of ideas as you read "Write A F'g Book" and become encouraged and inspired to do so!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Good Advice, but July 7, 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book does provide some good advice and information. However, the book may be over-priced at $4.99 considering its length and the fact the middle is over-stuffed with examples driving home the same point: having a book can improve your sales and your career. Still, some useful information here.
