Fun Beginning Writing Program, December 2, 2009
This review is from: WriteShop Primary Book A Teacher Guide (WriteShop, Volume A) (Paperback)
My daughter, age six, enjoys our WriteShop time together.
We're almost through Book A. So far she's had daily writing practice, made portable word banks, learned how stories have a beginning, middle and end, edited and "published" several of her writing projects, including a "facebook", and overall has had plenty of positive writing experiences.
If your child already can read and write and understands basic punctuation, you may want to look into Book B or C.
This book is for children just learning to read and write. My daughter read and writes already, but this book reinforced what she already knew, plus it introduced her to the writing process. It was worth her while to go through Book A.
I recommend this very teacher and child friendly writing program!
