Moving, Inspiring, Stimulating and Offers Great Community, February 5, 2012
This review is from: The Writer on Her Work, Volume I (Paperback)
The fabulous women writers in this book offer, with honesty and brilliance, their thoughts and challenges about bringing themselves to the page to write. I feel myself assembling into my real self as I discover this community of women who share their family stresses, political points of view, hopes and dreams as they confront their challenges and make something valuable out of words.
I wrote a book, Healing Your Hungry Heart. The process from beginning to end, with all its intellectual, emotional and time challenges, was one of the happiest times of my life. But I didn't know where to go or what to do once it was published and released. Write another?
Write something new in another genre? Stretch and go beyond? Go deeper into what I've created?
The women in Janet's book reveal their lived stories about their creative process. They are helping to free me to take my own next step knowing I am in community as I find my way in my way.
I heartily recommend this book to women who have a dream and to the men who love a woman who has a dream. These women show you what it took to make their dreams become realities. It can help you do the same.
