Must have!,

This review is from: A Writer's Guide to Getting Published in Magazines (Paperback)
I checked this book out of the library and after reading it, decided it was a book I had to have on my shelf or else no other patrons would get to read it because I'd keep on renewing it! It includes all the basics of writing magazine articles, including: deciding your target audience and magazine, research, writing query letters and what to include in the query package, writing proposals, protocol for working with editors, manuscript formats, writing the article, and the business side, including contracts and rights. Straight forward, clear and concise writing that gives you the information you need in a logical order. Published in 2000 and is up to date with email query and submission information. Other how-to books on magazine article writing average $14.95, but even at $19.95 I still think it was worth every penny. Very highly recommended!
