What they don't tell you is that the book is nearly exclusively for the UK market. Thanks, Amazon.

2.0 out of 5 stars Barry Turner's Writers' Handbook., August 8, 2010
This review is from: The Writer's Handbook 2009: The Complete Guide for all Writers, Publishers, Editors, Agents and Broadcasters (Writer's Handbook (Palgrave)) (Paperback)
I bought the book with expectation to see the basics of writing, but it wasn't helpful. I could relate with the few introductory articles on some aspects of writing, but they would hardly be a guide to an aspiring writer. It was just a collection of contacts about literary institutions, awards, publishing opportunities, and the like.
