Best market book for agents!
This book is the most excellent at giving current information about children's literary agents. Top notch agents are listed here among the hard hitting NY agents. Their submission guidelines are sometimes given along with their websites, email, and tastes! What more can you ask? It's not as good for publishing markets, but it's a must have if a writer is serious...

Maybe it's good for a writer?
Well,.. I purchased this book hoping to get a more direct view of the children's illustration market. I'm used to books like "The Artist's and Graphic Designer's Market" who give consistent information about each publisher. This book seems to ask each publisher a different set of questions, and certainly few benefit the illustrator. If you're looking for a good market...

This book is the most excellent at giving current information about children's literary agents. Top notch agents are listed here among the hard hitting NY agents. Well,.. I purchased this book hoping to get a more direct view of the children's illustration market. I'm used to books like "The Artist's and Graphic Designer's Market" who give consistent information about each publisher. This book seems to ask each publisher a different set of questions, and certainly few benefit the illustrator. If you're looking for a good market book stick to the one I mentioned above, I think you'll find it much more useful.
