Anyone interested in improving their english language buy this book it covers everything. You can also assist your kids with their english homework. Excellent book to have in your book collection

After being away from formal education for more than 40+ years and getting into the most basic of english classes at our local community college, we were instructed to buy this book. And after 2 semesters of using this book, I agree---It is one of the best in all aspects of learning or re-learning english. My writing skills were very poor and puncuation was a mess. If your teacher or instructor says buy it. Run and get it before they run out, you can't go wrong. Worth every penny you spend on it.

The book was pretty beaten up with perm marker on the back of book.
I am glad i only bought it for a cheaper price or i would have been terribly
disappointed. the book looks like 10 other people may have owned it as well.
Cheaper then buying it full price.

I purchased the book last semester and it seemed fine, so I wrote a great review. This semester comes along and just about every page that I need for an assignment is missing. Not satisfied at all. Make sure you check the book upon receiving for missing pages, something I should have done. Hope this helps!

The book arrived before my son started class and it was in the condition as described. The first sentence is really enough of a review but since I'm required to use 20 non-repeated words, the experience was ok.

My friend had gotten this same book at our campus book store. It was used up and in crappy condition. He paid $79 for it and I got this book new and clean for $25. Sweet sweet deal. This is why I come to Amazon. ;)

I use this book for activities in instructing my ESL students for the writing workshop. I find the chapters wonderful in grammar and writing explanations such as topic sentence, thesis statement, and in activities for going from paragraphs to essays, to name only a few of the many pluses in this book.

I was very happy with condition of the book, and more pleased I saved about $90.00 from what my school is charging for the same book.

My daughter is going to college. She is a single mom, with three kids and is on welfare. The cost of books is out of this world. We needed a bargain. Well, we got it. The book was in perfect condition and the cost was minimal. comparing to buying it at the college book store. My daughter was totally PLEASED.
