Editorial Reviews

Diablo Cody was born and raised in Chicago. She is an Academy Award and BAFTA-winning screenwriter, writer, blogger, journalist and author who first came to the public's attention with her candid chronicling of her year as a stripper in her Pussy Ranch blog and her 2006 memoir, Candy Girl: A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper. In 2007 Cody won wider fame as the writer of the hit film Juno (directed by Jason Reitman) for which she won the WGA Award, the BAFTA and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2008.
During the filming and promotion of Juno, Cody wrote a horror-drama screenplay about a teenage cannibal called Jennifer's Body. Jennifer's Body was filmed from 2007 to 2008 and is set for a late 2009 release.
The United States of Tara, the television sitcom written by Cody, based on an idea by Steven Spielberg and starring Toni Collette, was picked up for 13 episodes (including pilot) by the U.S. cable TV network Showtime and Canadian channel The Movie Network and was renewed for a second season, after the airing of only four episodes.

I found the banter between Diablo and the interviewer {Lorne Scafaria} genuine. They talked about Diablo's history before getting into screenwriting and some her her challenges as a writer on the TV series United States of Tara. Pretty cool overall.
