This is a gem of a book. I've read through the entire book, and have worked my way through about half of the exercises, and the author has the most tremendous, deep writing experiences that I've ever seen. But not for the faint of heart, because the journal writing prompts he gives are truly deep. They may take you to interior places that you haven't visited in a while.

A superb book. The best I've seen.

Although I've yet to read this book (I just ordered it for my Kindle), I was fortunate to take a journaling class with Lynn Nelson while at ASU in 1991. I started writing then and have never looked back. Lynn's class was incredible in not only the exercises he provided, but how he was able to have all of the students in the class connect with each other. Dealing with complex PTSD, Lynn's class was the catalyst that started me on a path of healing. I look forward to reading his book and working on the various exercises again... :)
