Any would-be children's writer can profit from a careful reading of this book. For more than 20 years, James Giblin served as the editor and publisher at Clarion Books. He knows the inside scoop about the children's market and covers the gamut of topics for writers in this excellent text.

I recommend this book whether you are just beginning in the children's market or you've been in this market for many years. This book has something for writers at every level.

This book is excellent on the basics of how to write for children. It deals with finding ideas for juvenile nonfiction; researching and outlining the juvenile nonfiction book; introducing storytelling into nonfiction, and more. It also covers writing fiction. I think that this book alone is a great beginning for those who want to write for children, but I also feel that people who want to write for children should read other books in addition to this one. Each book tells that particular author's approach, and in order to understand what your own approach should be, you have to consider a lot more than you get from any one book.

I was happy with the price and the condition of this book. It arrived in a short time after ordering. I would reccomend this seller and the book to anyone.
