5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Book! January 19, 2010
By A. Ross
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book last quarter for my own reading pleasure and then I was pleasantly surprised when it became required for a course I'm taking this quarter. It's a great, informative book, not your typical textbook. This is the lowest new price I've seen anywhere. I used it for one of my projects and it was a great source. It even includes tips for writing a fashion-minded resume. I'll definitely keep this handy!

This book is required for one of my classes and it is definitely worth it. It has great example of everything that happens in the business of fashion journalism. I would not only buy this book, but keep it for the future.

This is a Bible for Fashion journalists, PR professionals and other Marketing & Communication people working in the Fashion industry. But also for those fashion writers wannabes and students who want to build up a career in Fashion Communications. In fact, this is a book everybody should have at home to consult when needed.
This book is supposed to fill the gap between general writing classes and upper-level fashion courses. It is a great 600-page source full of outstanding guidelines to write properly and difference your style from the rest of the people's.
You will learn to review fashion shows, to write fashion reports, to do PR copy, to create editorial content for either off and online media... and even to re-do your CV and Cover Letter for the Fashion world! It includes a lot of writing examples, key terms and useful writing tools.
You will find the following contents: writing in the fashion environment, effective fashion communications, the writing process, fashion journalism, writing for newspapers, writing for magazines, writing for broadcast media, fashion promotion communication, writing for advertising, writing for public relations, writing for news media, other forms of fashion writing, scholarly writing, writing books, writing business communications and writing employment messages.
