This review is from: Writing Mini-Lessons For First Grade: The Four-Blocks Model (Four-Blocks Literacy Model) (Paperback)
Although I really enjoyed reading this book, I have only implemented the ideas a few times this year. Perhaps because I am not in a 4 blocks school, some of the ideas don't work as well for me. What I like and use in it is the mini-lesson topics and a way of getting the kids interested in writing more than the prescribed lessons themselves. I have fewer hours in the classroom than most first grade teachers. A public school teacher could probably benefit more than I from it.
