Each chapter ends with a 1 page review of the entire chapter. Having been through a doctorate and post-doctorate program I have seen many textbooks. I'm sure this text was not meant to be a textbook, however, it could easily be one.

This book is simply written making it easy to understand. After reading this book, the 1 page reviews at the end of each chapter has served to quickly jog my memory of the material presented--making it easier to remember the many facets of great sales copy. I own several copywriting books and this book is the only one I refer back to.

This book is one of the best books I have ever read on a given topic.

As to the topic of copywriting and how Ray Edwards presents the topic. It was once said that any fool can pile complexity upon complexity, but, it takes genius to make a thing simple. I am not a copywriter, however, because of this book I have put together time tested elements presented by Ray Edwards to induce action by those who have read my copy.

Ray Edwards, if you happen to read this review, You are a Genius and Thank You very much for having written this book!!

Having spent many years in the college classroom developing and delivering business courses, I realized that I was not good at writing copy. I am not nearly concise enough, nor do I completely understand how this translates on the Internet. I attended a conference in Austin TX this year and one of the amazing speakers was Ray Edwards. Ray graciously offered the attendees a course offering that was focused on copywriting. I signed up for it and also found this book.
I am still taking the course as well as reading this book, and am know that I am in the hands of a master copywriter. Ray has the magic touch when it comes to copywriting and uses language in a way that I have never encountered before. I am struggling with his language and terminology.
One of the things that I strongly appreciate is the way Ray breaks writing down into the basic elements so that you are using a basic construction method to build your copy.
The second major bonus of Writing Riches is that each chapter ends with a review. For me this reinforced whether I had mastered the content or not. The reviews will also be a fabulous resource for me in the future when I am building my sites.
This is a book that will remain in my reference section as a book that I need fast access to when needed.
GREAT book.

Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, you'll find nuggets of pure gold and profit boosting wisdom on every page of this outstanding book.

Ray Edwards is not only a master copywriter, more importantly he is a master TEACHER of copywriting. And this mastery shines through in Writing Riches.

If you want to harness the power of turing your words into wealth, and your writing into riches, you owe it to yourself (and your bank account) to get your hands on this book, and read it multiple times!

I give Writing Riches my highest recommendation!

Although I was once responsible for marketing in a publicly listed technology company, I never really understood what copy writing was all about until I read Ray Edwards book. If anyone had asked me whether I wanted to get involved in sales I would recoil in horror, for sales was something that required a special personality able to withstand constant rejection and able to close a deal no matter what product was on the table.

Ray shows that we are all sales people, and that copy writing is an essential skill in the information age to promote and sell your product or service in the midst of fierce competition. Ray illustrates that there is a straightforward approach to writing good sales copy that will work and give your product the best chance of success in the market. After reading this book you will be more than empowered to write your own good copy that sells well.

One word of caution, the hard selling off-putting style associated with typical sales letters might seem "over the top" in some cultures and I respect that Ray is writing for the specific audience where he has the most experience. Yet the underlying psychology and principles of buying a product or service are very human and universally valid; and can therefore work in almost any situation. You might need to interpret and distill the principles and adapt the copywriting formula proposed by Ray for your own specific audience and cultural norms and expectations.

Ray Edwards work is always good. The advice in this book I use every day and it is exceptional. Writing anything has a multipurpose. It is to attract your client, solve problems and advertise who you are and what your company is about. Ray Edwards helps writers of all kinds and all abilities achieve this goal. The book is simple to read and packed with great suggestions. Before you think about writing your next book, read this one first.

This was very a nicely summarised view of copywriting for info products (mainly Internet marketing I might add), which is pretty typical of what is out there on copywriting.

I heard Ray Edwards speak at a seminar on selling physical products, so one might assume his stuff would include that right? Well not really. I find it hard to map the concepts over.

So bottom line, didn't give me insight into how to write a compelling product description and sales letter. Which is probably why you get so many sucky product descriptions with product specifications as the main selling point, and people reduced to making decisions based on how many ghz and gbs stuff has without really knowing why the heck it matters.
