Book Description

November 1, 1998
If you have always longed to write but when you sit down to do it you discover that you're afraid of starting, trying, putting your bruised heart on the line, Writing Out the Storm takes you to your next steps. If you have a list of excuses, a daunting schedule and no sense of direction, this book will clear your path. Learn how to silence your inner critic, carve out the time, establish a nurturing routine, and set realistic goals. You'll discover how to read close so that you understand how other writers think and how their techniques end up on the page. It also advises writers to pay attention to today, not only for your writing but because it too will become part of your memories. Finally, Writing Out the Storm is realistic, because you'll have to make sacrifices so that you can add layers to your writing, page after page, day after day. But there is a way, and there are answers so that no matter what the weather, write out the storm.
