Editorial Reviews

From School Library Journal

PreSchool-K-- One rainy afternoon, Alex sees a strangely cloaked figure approaching his door. He's surprised to see that it's his best friend, Cat. Over a cup of hot cocoa, Cat explains that his wrap is a magic carpet and tells of the amazing flights he's taken on it. Alex wishes he could go to the moon, so the two lie down on the enchanted rug before the fire, close their eyes, and off they go--to the moon or to sleep depending on the listener's fantasy quotient. A story with a very slight premise, decorated with stylized, muted watercolors. --Virginia Opocensky, formerly at Lincoln City Libraries, NB
