Good, but not what I had been hoping for actually. These are primarily crtiques written by Lovecraft of other writers submissions and while interesting do not ever delve into his own works or mythos. From a literary standpoint it is intriguing to gear the criticism he lays upon many of his contemporaries. The work is also useful in grasping a better feeling for the higher standard of language to which he aspired in his writing. For the true fan it is worth a read.

What can I say? This is more of a collector's item of Lovecraft's earlier work. It's pretty mediocre even for it's time. But it's interesting to read how early publications advertised authors and such. It's not great but it's not horrible. Just hmmm. . . .
